Mr Andrew Lay
Biography:
MA (Med Ed), BSc (Hons) Ost, PGCAP, FHEA Andrew has experience working both in private practice and within the NHS in London, Brentwood & Basildon. He qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in London where he is now a member of the clinical and academic faculty and has lectured in Orthopaedics & Rheumatology. He has also been involved in teaching at a post graduate level. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM), British Osteopathic Association (BOA), Osteopathic Sports Care Association (OSCA) & is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) He has specific experience working with sports related injuries and their management - having worked with competitors from a wide range of sports e.g. Golf, Tennis, Baseball (with Essex Arrows Baseball Club), football, elite athletes/cyclists, etc. He is currently lead therapist with Upminster Rugby Club (Senior/Youth sections) and has also worked with Billericay Town FC (Blue Square Bet Conference) and Canvey Island FC (Ryman Premier League) He has a Post-graduate Certificate of Academic Practice, a diploma in sports therapy and a Masters degree in Medical Education from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Postgraduate Medical School. He has a current 'enhanced' CRB check. He is married with two children and has been a resident of Upminster all of his life.
