ALO Physiotherapy Clinic was founded in 2000 by director, André de Oliveira. Since its establishment the clinic has maintained a reputation for individualised patient care with superior quality service. The facility is centrally located at 20 Harley Street which has four modern and fully equipped treatment rooms overlooking a quiet garden. The atmosphere in the clinic is very calm and relaxing. Our physiotherapists are all highly trained and professionally qualified.  All are insured and registered with the major insurance companies.  The team consists of both male and female physiotherapists and each specialises in a chosen area of rehabilitation and treatment as well as being adept at normal modes of physiotherapy. Treatments available include a wide range of physiotherapy modalities including spinal manipulation/adjustments and massage.  We also have various forms of electrotherapy at our disposal to use in the rehabilitation process, including a Tecar Machine used to promote healing by using radiofrequency, athletes such as Rafa Nadal use this for rehabilitation. Sandra trained as an Osteopath at Oxford Brookes University and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association. Sandra has previously completed a BSc(Hons) in Equine Science at Hartpury College during which time she developed an interest in the injury and rehabilitation of the equine athlete. On completing her degree she gained a position working within the College’s well renowned . It was whilst working at the centre that her interest in Osteopathy developed, initially in its use as a treatment with horses but growing into a keen interest on how it can help riders as well. Combining her knowledge of both the equine and human body Sandra offers a unique service to riders, by helping  riders function better this automatically improves the horses way of going. As well as treating athletes, in particular horse riders, Sandra also enjoys helping a wide range of patients but in particular those with long term conditions such as arthritis or chronic fatigue. Away from osteopathy Sandra has previously ridden and competed to Elementary/Medium level dressage with her own horse. She  also enjoys mountain biking. She competed in the first women’s only mountain biking race “Stilettos on Wheels” in September 2012 gaining a respectable 12th place against some stiff competition including the Swedish National Champion!

I am a professionally qualified Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist, and a full member of the Irish Massage Therapist Association (I.M.T.A). Having qualified with a Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy from National School For Remedial Therapy (N.S.R.T). My interest for sport & remedial massage therapy started following injury after injury from competing in multiple sports. I have suffered many of the injuries associated to each discipline & can relate to people with their injuries when they attend my clinic for differential diagnosis & injury treatment. I am fully trained & qualified in various advanced techniques such as Soft Tissue Release (S.T.R), Muscle Energy Techniques (M.E.T), (P.I.R), (R.I), Advanced Sport & Remedial Massage, differential diagnosis, injury rehabilitation, resistance training. I also recently qualified in group fitness instruction and Personal Training. To offer the best service to my clients I have done an additional course in Advanced Kinesiology, Taping & Strapping, Occupational first aid level 5, sport first aid (pitch side), Advanced Dry Needling and Electro-Therapy courses. Since qualifying I have gained extensive experience working with both sporting & non sporting clients tailoring my techniques to suit people from all walks of life-whether you are injured from a sports related incident or from repetitive strain injury associated with your job.
