I recently visited Avicenna Hastanesi Ataşehir with my daughter in October for a blood transfusion, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to Omer, who went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Despite the language barrier with the very kind Doctor who attended to me — since I couldn’t speak the local Turkish language and my kind Doctor who doesn’t speak English — Omer made communication seamless, making me feel completely understood and cared for. As someone with thalassemia intermediate, I’ve undergone many transfusions over the years, but the level of care Omer provided really touched me. My experience with Dr Ulas and his amazing team was extremely positive. From the minute that I decided to go to Turkey to have my procedure done and started to do my own research, I was very blessed that I stumbled across Dr Ulas and Rabia❤️ my beautiful patient coordinator/translator. Communication was on point from the beginning to the end of my journey, I felt I was given all the information needed before I made my decision. Had a video call with both Rabia and Dr Ulas to determine what can be done. The day I arrived to Turkey 🇹🇷 I was taken to the hotel which was a superb choice 6 stars hotel.Then straight to blood test. After Rabia came to the hotel and explained in details what to expect with an amazing Turkish coffee. We then had plenty of time to kill we had mad half a day shopping and exploring Istanbul before early surgery admission the next day. On the day I met Dr Ulas, very calm which made me feel very comfortable. He went through the surgery details with me I felt very very safe in their hands. The hospital staff were very friendly and helpful. Recovery was shockingly quick, I was able to go to the market 3rd day after surgery I felt absolutely fine. My journey was really good, Dr Ulas, Rabia and team I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me. God bless you and your families.
