Balance Sports MassageCovent Garden - Massage Clinic in the UK

Balance Sports MassageCovent Garden

Neal's Yard Therapy Rooms, 2 Neal's Yard, London, WC2H 9DP
Balance Sports Massage Kingston is located within the Kingston Natural Health Centre in Kingston Upon Thames and Balance Sports Massage Wimbledon at Neal's Yard Remedies in Wimbledon Village.   About usI am a Level 5 Sport and Remedial Massage Therapist. This involves the use of massage therapy, stretching, neuromuscular and myofascial techniques to address muscular-skeletal and joint pain as well as problems with posture and movement. Massage therapy is generally well known for stress relief and relaxation. While I do provide these services, remedial therapy goes beyond that. People generally ask what the treatment entails. There is no straightforward answer. I treat clients based on results of postural and movement tests, current presenting symptoms and of course one's own subjective assessment, ie. what the client feels. A treatment will then use a combination of the above named techniques to get the best results in the long term by addressing presenting symptoms as well as their underlying causes. I also give aftercare advice to rebalance muscle function. I find this increases a client's awareness of their own body and enables them to participate in their rehabilitation. Sports Massage from £45
Sports massage therapy uses deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques such as M.E.T, S.T.R and trigger point therapy, to name a few to address soft tissue imbalances. Including postural and biomechanical analysis to help understand and tailor clients treatments to their needs. Sports massage is used to address muscular and other soft tissue immobility or imbalances that may have been results of injury, lifestyle habits or biomechanical error. Its associated techniques are also useful in aiding recovery from injury, stress and fatigue and promoting rest and relaxation. Sports massage is a growing field in soft tissue therapy and is highly respected and sought after due to its diverse range of tools and techniques that seek to affect the body globally through soft tissue manipulation.
Massage from £40
Normally at the first session with a client, this includes a questionnaire geared towards understanding a clients medical and soft tissue history, lifestyle and work habits, postural and biomechanical analysis, including range of motion tests and palpation (which is an initial assessment by touch of clients soft tissue behaviour). All the information gathered from the questionnaire and tests will go towards understanding a clients problem, what may be causing it and how best to address it. From this, a treatment plan is drawn. While this plan aims to be as thorough as possible, it is not set in stone and changes may be made as the treatment progresses to address subsequent findings and accommodate clients lifestyle activity and response to treatment. This process is the reason why a clients first session will normally last an hour and a half including an initial treatment. It could be more if the client has a long injury history.
Deep Tissue Massage from £45
Massage using various techniques able to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to further enhance relaxation or address injury where necessary.
Full Body Massage from £55
Exactly what it says. Massage addressing the whole body whether for relaxation or remedial purposes. Using deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques to address issues of tension and imbalance. Full body massages are also given in the days to weeks following injury to help relax the relieve the body of stress brought on by injury and address any compensation patterns that may develop.

West London Chiropractic Clinic - Chiropractic Clinic in the UK

West London Chiropractic Clinic

126 Harley Stre3 Pleydell Avenue, Stamford Brook, Hammersmith, London, W6 0XX
Chiropractors specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions which are due to mechanical dysfunction of the joints, especially those of the spine, and their effects on the nervous system. Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your spine and other areas of the body where signs of restrictions in movement are found. This improves mobility and relieves pain. Poor, inadequate or incorrect function of the spine can cause irritation of the nerves that control your posture and movement. By adjusting joints, chiropractors stimulate the joint movement receptors affecting the way your nervous system works. On first meeting you, the chiropractor will take a detailed history of your health, your reasons for seeking a consultation and a full examination will then be undertaken. Sometimes treatment is immediate, at other times it may be necessary to seek further information from your GP or to arrange x-rays, blood or urine tests. Your individual needs and your role in the treatment plan will be discussed and considered with you at all times. Chiropractic care mainly involves treatment by manipulation to the joints of the spine or other areas of the body. Most often this involves a short impulse to the joint, resulting in an audible ‘crack’ as the joint is released, bringing relief of symptoms. The crack is simply the sound of bubbles of gas popping in the fluid of the joint as the pressure is released. This is known as an ‘adjustment.’ Generally, chiroprac
