FRating from 1 Review SuperbLola, Solihull, 23 Jul 12

Absolutely brilliant, all the staff involved in the treatment were professional but friendly, and put me at ease from start to finish. Mark who did the surgery was superb. Operation went well (total of 3 minutes max!!) and I was out within 30 minutes of arriving. Nicely efficient and sent off with eye drops galore, and provided with even more due to the amount of air travel with my job. Eye sight perfect, 6 months on and I am still delighted. No prescription sunglasses for me over the Summer! Only minor issue is lack of handy parking on Highfield Rd at times. Expensive but worth it, also includes after care.

LASIK From £1795
At Optegra we use the most advanced equipment for Laser Eye Surgery. All laser treatments involve the use of a laser to change the shape of your cornea and alter your eye’s focusing power. Making the procedure safer and more accurate with better results, and completely blade free for a faster recovery. LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is the most common laser treatment performed worldwide and is usually a two-stage procedure. It takes around 10 minutes to treat each eye. Once your eye has been anaesthetised, a femtosecond laser is used to create an extremely thin flap on your cornea (1). By using a laser instead of a blade, the flap can be created with greater precision and with minimal pain. The tissue under the flap is then reshaped using an excimer laser (2) before the flap is carefully placed back again (3).Every individual is different. You will need to have a consultation with one of our consultant surgeons who will conduct an in-depth assessment to determine your suitability and tailor an individual solution to you.LASIK is usually suitable for people with:Myopia (short-sightedness) Hyperopia (long-sightedness) Astigmatism (irregular- shaped cornea) £1,795 per eye

LASEK (laser-assisted epithelial keratomileusis) is a surface treatment that avoids the need to create a corneal flap. The total treatment takes around 10 minutes per eye. It works by softening the thin upper layer of the cornea (1), called the epithelium, before moving it aside (3). An excimer laser (4) is then applied to the exposed tissue before the thin layer is put back in its original position (5). A special contact lens is then applied to protect the epithelium while it heals (6). Every individual is different. You will need to have a consultation with one of our consultant surgeons who will conduct an in-depth assessment to determine your suitability and tailor an individual solution to you. Rating from 2 Reviews Friendly and knowledgeableValerie, UK, 26 Aug 14

Space is a professional and comfortable clinic. I applaud them on every level and urge you to read on if you are considering laser eye surgery or lens replacement. I had been to several other providers thinking laser eye surgery was my need, if I'd had that treatment I would still have needed reading glasses. I do a lot of exercise and wanted to eliminate glasses a I visited Space, I loved the surroundings, Amy was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and because of that I made an appointment for an assessment. Lesley, the optometrist, was also friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with her and her advice was for intraocular lens replacement to meet my need of not wearing glasses at all. Her professionalism was reassuring and this was compounded when I met Mark, the ophthalmic surgeon. Mark exudes a quiet confidence, again most reassuring, and for one so accomplished he is genuine and sincere in his support. Its 4 days since the second of my lenses was replaced. I got up from the "table" saying how glad I was we don't have 3 eyes! The results when "unveiling"my first one, the non dominant, was disappointing. I'd been told to expect ghosting. The world was a complete blur, saved only by the daily contact lens Space provided to me for the other eye. This was down to interpretation, to a professional, ghosting is blurring. Luckily you return to the clinic on day 2 and Lesley reassured me this would pass. It did of course and in a few days my reading in that eye was amazing, better than it had been with my varifocal lenses in my glasses. Needless to say the following week when the second eye was done, the result was different again. I am so pleased with Space, the team and Tina the attending nurse. I recommend them without reservation. Go for an assessment

I am happy with the recommendationMargaret, Leamington Spa, 05 Oct 14
