I travelled to Istanbul with my daughter for her iLASIK surgery at Risus Clinic, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt confident and reassured. Violet was absolutely perfect—she was so attentive and personally involved in every step, ensuring that both of us were well taken care of throughout the process. She even attended the surgery to ensure there were no communication issues during the operation. Her kindness and helpfulness truly made a difference. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to answer all our questions in detail, which made us feel completely at ease. After my daughter’s successful surgery, I decided to have a consultation for my own vision issues. I’ve been dealing with hypermetropia (farsightedness) for years and had been considering an IOL lens operation. However, Dr. Öncel recommended LASIK surgery instead, and I’m so glad I trusted his expertise. Both my daughter and I are thrilled with the results. Had a new lens put in both eyes and thrilled with the results. Felt looked after from being collected at the airport, picked up for all appointments and dropped back at the airport.

I would like to thank Dr. Derda Ozer for my surgery and follow-up appointment, as well as Hassan and Zainab from the MDO team. I am especially grateful to Hassan, who served as my host, translating everything for me and taking care of me throughout the process—from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the hospital. I will always be thankful to them for my procedure and for being such excellent hosts. I was well taken care of by Dr. Derda Ozer, and the hospital was well-equipped, with all the necessary facilities. My surgery went well, and on the same day, I was transferred to my hotel. The following day, I had a follow-up appointment. Hassan took me on a tour of Istanbul, visiting Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet area, and the Blue Mosque. I am very thankful to him for being a great host; he speaks excellent English, explains everything clearly, and is a genuinely positive person, and treated me like an older brother. Regarding my surgery, everything went according to plan like we talked about before my visit. As for the results, I am partially satisfied and still recovering, waiting for the final outcome related to my squint eye. I remain in communication with the MDO team and have been advised to give it three months, as recovery times can vary. I may consider future courses of action later on. If I achieve an 80% correction of my squint, I will be very happy. After my surgery, my eye still shows a slight deviation, and the size of my operated eye is still smaller than that of the other eye. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best results. I would definitely recommend MDO, as they are a genuine clinic, and the hospital they use for surgeries has all the necessary facilities and is based in Istanbul. They are a trustworthy company that takes great care of their patients, and without a doubt, they are neither fake nor fraudulent. The staff and team are very honest and generous.

I had cataracts removed and lenses put in for my treatment. It was explain to me clearly what was going to happen and the price I would have to pay. I suffer from anxiety but after my talk and how helpful and understanding the whole team were towards myself I felt so much better. The treatment did not go a head until I was comfortable. I could not believe it was (PAIN FREE) ,bits of it were uncomfortable but no pain . I was given my medication and they made sure I knew how I had to use my medication before they let me go back to my hotel . Had messages once I got back to my hotel to make sure everything was OK. I can not believe how good my eyes feel. I can see so much more than I could when I was wearing my classes. Thank you team for a pain free treatment and I know my eyes are only to get better.

I have toiled with the idea of lens replacement surgery for the past few years. I attended a consultation at a clinic in Glasgow and was quoted £7000 but after reading a lot of poor reviews, I decided against it. I did my research on lens replacement surgery in Antalya and was drawn to Dr Emir Dogan, and seeing as the reviews and price were so affordable, I made contact. The initial contact is through WhatsApp (the same goes for any work you'll get done in Turkey) which made me feel a bit uneasy at first but I knew I was in good hands from the minute I arrived in Antalya. Dr Dogan, appointed an English speaking colleague who drove me to and from the hospital and stayed with me to translate and ensure I was comfortable and understood everything. The hospital is immaculate and modern, I was given a lovely relaxing room to myself which I used pre and post-surgery. The staff were so attentive, one of the girls literally held my hand on my way surgery. Dr Dogan was amazing, I knew I was in good hands from the minute I met him. The surgery was painless and took around 20 minutes, he spoke me through the whole process and constantly reassured me and checked to make sure I was feeling ok throughout the procedure. I remember after the surgery, I stood up and he cleaned my eyes exactly the way you'd expect a caring family member to look after you. This small but attentive gesture made me feel safe. I returned to have my second eye done and the experience was exactly the same, the whole team are so nice. I would recommend Dr Dogan to anyone who is considering lens replacement surgery. My eyesight is pretty much perfect and I love life without my specs.

Went for a lasik surgery and the proce is unbelievably cheaper than UK but you get superb results.
