Also known as 'colon hydro therapy' or 'Colonics' Today’s way of living can overburden our colons and as a result the bodys'  waste product ( stools) isn’t managed as  efficiently as one would like. Over time waste, toxins and gases build up, contributing to a multitude of symptoms and conditions. There is a school of thought, derived from Ayurveda (the ancient Indian holistic health system) which hold that the colon will be prone to the effects of anxiety. In Ayurveda, bastis ( the ayurvedic term for enemas) could be indicated for people with anxiety (obviously based on a proper consultation). My experience with some folk with IBS is that anxiety may feature as a symptom, as can depression not clinical depression which is a clinical term) Drawing from that insight, Colon hydro- therapists do find that mood change is often found as appositive byproduct from colonics.  Evidence?
