18 years ago I had radical surgery for a life-threatening medical condition, which thankfully was successful, but left me with severe pain in my hips and made it difficult to walk. For about 15 years I was prescribed very strong pain killers (500 ml co-codomal / Solfodol) by my GP to be taken 2x4 times per day, and although I took these they still didn't take the pain away fully. My husband heard about Dr Lily & Dr Peter from a work colleague, so I decided to try them out. The initial consultation was very in-depth, and acupuncture treatment was recommended, which I decided to have. After the first course, I felt a great inprovement in my condition and experienced a marked reduction in my pain level, two more treatments followed over the next two weeks with truly remarkable results. The result was truly amazing, and that was 2 years ago, since then I have NEVER needed to take any sort of pain killers, and my life now is pain-free. To the reader this may seem to be an exaggerated claim, however, I CAN ASSURE YOU, that this testimonial is 100% true and accurate, and comes with my thanks to Dr Lily and Dr Peter.

Having suffered for 4 days with my back I contacted Kevin to see if he could help. Luckily he could fit me in the following day due to a cancellation The treatment and explanation of my problem were outstanding. I came away feeling much better but with the warning that it could be sore for a while. I would highly recommend this service and will certainly use him again if I have a problem again. A day later having followed his post treatment advice I am feeling so much better.

I was seen by Billie today to assess and treat me for a long-standing lower back and sacral iliac joint problem. The treatment I received was excellent very thorough and professionally delivered. I felt like I had received an intensive hour of treatment encompassed by the detailed assessment relating to my clinical symptoms. The practice is very clean very welcoming and sanitised thoroughly whilst you are there. I have also been treated a year or so ago for a problem shoulder and again the treatment was exceptionally delivered by Rob. Thank you again. Hope to book in again soon!.

The Elland Well Being Centre is a newly refurbished centre, having previously been a pub in its hey day.  It is found just at the bend down Briggate in Elland, before the road goes over the bridge towards Brighouse and Sowerby Bridge. The acupuncture room is found on the first floor up a flight of stairs.  It is well furnished with a physiotherapy plinth which allows patients to get on easily, whether they are seated or laid down for treatment.  There is a small waiting area just outside the room on the first floor. The Centre has its own dedicated car part for service users with a disabled space.  Service users then access the Centre via the Entrance there, which has a buzzer system  to let people in outside office hours. At the front of the Centre there is a cafe which is open to members of the public and a small waiting area for day time appointments.  There is a reception area to the front but this is just for the physiotherapy staff only. Appointments are made by telephoning Balquees Ali or emailing. Appointments in Elland are available on Thursdays 9.00 am to 9.00pm.   I also have acupuncture clinics in Huddersfield and Halifax.

Acupressure massage as a stand alone treatment lasts for 45mins.  Can be carried out as part of an acupuncture treatment so the acupuncture fee is charged instead.
Stop Smoking - NADA Protocol £40 - £45
Auricular acupuncture treatment protocol combined with body acupuncture; suggested number of sessions are 3-5 over a 2 week period.  Also available is a Stop Smoking ear seed kit for home use which includes ear seeds and instructions.  Kit priced at £9.99 as a stand alone.
