Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth, support bridges, support dentures, and eliminate the need for removable partial dentures. It is a good option for replacing one, or several teeth if the patient has good overall dental health and bone structure. A dental implant is attached only to the replacement tooth that it holds. This means that there is no need to have any natural tooth structure removed to fit a crown; the dental implant is secure without any support. A dental implant is a permanent replacement that looks and feels like your natural teeth, so there is no extra maintenance, or change in biting habits that are normally associated with partial dentures.
