This method is more frequently used for treating male infertility.It is used if the number of spermatozoids, motility, morphology or results of sperm function test are clearly abnormal, resulting in an impaired ability of semen to fertilize.In this case fertilization can be ensured with micro fertilization, also known as the ICSI method. Each mature egg is injected with one single spermatozoid.
