He graduated from the Athens Medical School in 1989. 1992-1998: he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. He was trained to treat women during their pregnancy, to treat pregnancy complications and also perform to gynaecological surgery. He worked in University gynaecological hospitals that treat large number of patients (e.g. 5.000 pregnancies every year) in London: Mayday University Hospital, Newham General Hospital, UCL Hospitals, Queen Mary’s University Hospital, Kingston Hospital (Kingston Upon Thames). In 1998 he became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) following his training and after having passed written and oral exams with success. RCOG is famous world-wide for providing high quality training. Its goal is to set high standards in clinical practice. 1998-2002: he specialized in reproductive medicine and in vitro fertilization at the London Gynaecology and Fertility Centre, working together with Professor Ian Craft, a famous pioneer in IVF. He gained experience in all fertility treatments, including treatments in women who suffer from polycystic ovaries syndrome, endometriosis or fibroids. In total, he was clinically responsible for about 3.000 treatments. He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embrology (ESHRE) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). 2002-2007: in 2002 he returns to Greece. For the first time he offers fertility treatments to patients in Greece using his clinical experience. He treats his patients with respect, he offers them personal care and individualized treatments. His persistent efforts for the successful outcome of the treatments, even in severe and complicated cases of infertility, result in high rates of success. His high quality clinical practice in the area of reproductive medicine is recognized. 2007: together with Christoforos Apostolidis, he founded ‘gennima – center for gynaecology and reproduction’. Their goal is to provide high quality, individualized fertility treatments with personal care and high rates of success. They invested in a state-of-the-art embryology lab and the recruit experienced embryologists. ‘gennima’ attracts other experienced reproduction gynaecologists who trust its high quality clinical and lab practice for treating their patients. He has presented his research at international congresses and he has published scientific articles in leading periodicals in reproductive medicine. Today his scientific interest in reproductive medicine focuses on the uterine abnormalities (adhesions, diaphragm) and their correction hysteroscopically. In 2010 he was made Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. This is an honorary appointment to members of the College who have been members for longer than 12 years, who offer high quality medical services and who have contributed significantly in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has helped hundreds of couples overcome their fertility problems and make their dreams for a healthy baby come true.
