Mr Simon Horgan FRCS, Eyehealthcare

After qualifying from London University in 1986 and receiving his ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Mr Simon Horgan is now a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, St George's, South London. He is one of the leading ophthalmic experts in the South East for treatments in macular degeneration, including therapies, and has particular research interest in retinal conditions. Simon also specialises in diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, use of multifocal implant lenses, astigmatic corrections and general ophthalmology.

After completing her training in 1981, Anne's nursing career took her into many specialities - including A&E where she gained invaluable experience in dealing with acute conditions - before she decided to concentrate on ophthalmology. She joined the team in 2007 and, since then, has undertaken further specialist training in all areas of ophthalmology. Anne is a highly proficient ophthalmic nurse who offers full clinical support to Simon in all his outpatient clinics and is responsible for our helpline. Anne holds the practice mobile phone and is always happy to discuss any queries regarding your surgery both before and after your treatment.

Lorraine trained as a Legal Secretary and worked for Lawyers in London for 14 years before making the move to become a Medical Secretary several years ago. She gained varied experience first working in a busy department in the local NHS service before joining the team in 2012. She is generally available Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am and 3.00 pm (12 pm on Fridays) to answer your queries and arrange appointments for you. She provides an efficient secretarial service and keeps things running smoothly in the office.
