Rating from 1 Review Helpful advice on eye test and frames selectionRahman, UK, 24 Aug 15

My experience at Optieye has been very pleasurable. The service is always of a great standard and the staff are really friendly, approachable and ready to offer helpful advice on my eye health and the frames selection. Excellent customer service. Very accommodating staff. I am really pleased with my glasses. I've been going there for a while and it's the best place to go to when you need an eye test or just to buy a pair of glasses. I highly recommend it to anyone who's in need of a great optician's. Thanks again

You & Eye Opticians

172 Wilmslow Road, Rusholme, Manchester, M14 5LQ
Rating from 2 Reviews I am extremely pleasedKyoko, Sale, 05 Dec 12

I wear gas permeable and lost one recently. whilst many opticians are not equipped and wouldn't want to deal with gas permeable, this place was fantastic. They knew what I wanted, did the tests immediately, and were friendly and thorough. the fitting process & price seem reasonable. I'm going back for the trial and make the payment when everything is good. So can't tell what they are like when you actually buy the lenses, but so far, I am extremely pleased to have contacted them.

Cataract Surgery
A cataract is a condition of the eye that makes it difficult to see. The lens, the part of the eye that we use to focus, becomes clouded. The eye is like a camera with a lens system at the front and a photosensitive area at the back. The normal function of the lens is to focus light so that you can see sharp clear images. If the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, it restricts the amount of light that is able to enter the eye, reducing the eyesight. A cataract usually develops gradually, eventually making it difficult to carry out your daily activities. If the cataract is not removed, your vision usually becomes worse over time. One or both eyes can be affected, but a cataract cannot spread from one eye to the other.
