Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best resultsAbdul, UK, 12 05 25

I would like to thank Dr. Derda Ozer for my surgery and follow-up appointment, as well as Hassan and Zainab from the MDO team. I am especially grateful to Hassan, who served as my host, translating everything for me and taking care of me throughout the process—from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the hospital. I will always be thankful to them for my procedure and for being such excellent hosts. I was well taken care of by Dr. Derda Ozer, and the hospital was well-equipped, with all the necessary facilities. My surgery went well, and on the same day, I was transferred to my hotel. The following day, I had a follow-up appointment. Hassan took me on a tour of Istanbul, visiting Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet area, and the Blue Mosque. I am very thankful to him for being a great host; he speaks excellent English, explains everything clearly, and is a genuinely positive person, and treated me like an older brother. Regarding my surgery, everything went according to plan like we talked about before my visit. As for the results, I am partially satisfied and still recovering, waiting for the final outcome related to my squint eye. I remain in communication with the MDO team and have been advised to give it three months, as recovery times can vary. I may consider future courses of action later on. If I achieve an 80% correction of my squint, I will be very happy. After my surgery, my eye still shows a slight deviation, and the size of my operated eye is still smaller than that of the other eye. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best results. I would definitely recommend MDO, as they are a genuine clinic, and the hospital they use for surgeries has all the necessary facilities and is based in Istanbul. They are a trustworthy company that takes great care of their patients, and without a doubt, they are neither fake nor fraudulent. The staff and team are very honest and generous.

Corneal Transplant TL182887 - TL313520
A corneal transplant, also known as keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure used to replace a damaged or diseased cornea with healthy donor tissue. This surgery is typically recommended when vision cannot be corrected satisfactorily with glasses or contact lenses and is impaired by corneal conditions such as scarring or keratoconus. Procedure Steps: Preparation: The eye is numbed with local anesthesia, and you may receive medication to help you relax.Removal: The damaged portion of the cornea is carefully removed.Transplant: A clear, healthy donor cornea is then placed in the opening.Securing: The new cornea is secured with very fine stitches.Recovery: Recovery involves several follow-up visits to monitor healing, and it may take several months for vision to stabilize. You'll use eye drops to help prevent infection and rejection of the donor cornea. Benefits: Corneal transplant can significantly improve vision, decrease pain, and improve the appearance of a damaged or diseased cornea. Risks: Risks include rejection of the donor cornea, infection, and complications from surgery, though these are manageable with prompt medical attention.
Cataract Surgery TL36577 - TL156760
Cataract surgery is a safe and effective treatment to restore clear vision for those affected by cataracts. The surgery involves removing the cloudy lens from the eye and replacing it with a clear, artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, which means you can go home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with drops, and you may be given medication to help you relax.Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye to access the lens.Lens Removal: Using a technique called phacoemulsification, the cloudy lens is broken up with ultrasound waves and then gently suctioned out.IOL Implantation: A foldable IOL is inserted through the incision and positioned into the lens capsule of your eye.Completion: The incision is usually self-sealing and does not require stitches.Recovery: Most people notice an improvement in their vision soon after surgery, though complete healing and vision stabilization can take a few weeks. You will need to use prescribed eye drops to help prevent infection and inflammation during this period. Benefits: Cataract surgery not only improves visual clarity but also enhances the quality of life by restoring your ability to perform daily activities with better vision. Risks: While cataract surgery is highly successful, as with any surgery, there are potential risks, such as infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure, which are rare and typically manageable.
Glaucoma Treatment
Glaucoma Treatment TL78380 - TL156760
Glaucoma Surgical Treatment Glaucoma surgery is a safe and effective treatment designed to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) and preserve vision in patients diagnosed with glaucoma. Surgical interventions typically aim to enhance the drainage of fluid (aqueous humor) from the eye or reduce fluid production, helping prevent further damage to the optic nerve. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with anesthetic drops, and sedation may be administered to help you relax. Incision and Drainage Creation: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye and creates a new drainage channel (trabeculectomy) or implants a tiny drainage device (glaucoma drainage implant or stent) to enhance fluid outflow. Fluid Regulation: The newly created pathway helps control fluid drainage, effectively lowering intraocular pressure. Completion: The incision site may be sutured or left to self-seal, depending on the specific procedure. Recovery: Post-surgery recovery typically involves the use of prescribed eye drops to control inflammation and prevent infection. Most patients experience stabilized or improved intraocular pressure within a few weeks. Regular follow-up appointments are crucial to monitor eye pressure and ensure successful healing. Benefits: Glaucoma surgery significantly reduces the risk of vision loss and optic nerve damage by effectively managing eye pressure and preserving visual function. Risks: While generally successful, potential risks include infection, bleeding, changes in vision, or increased cataract formation. These complications are rare and usually manageable with appropriate treatment.

The Doctor and his team were extremely organized, and very detailedAmanze, Turkey, 01 02 24

I contacted the hospital at night requesting a possible surgery the next day so I could still catch my flight the day after. The Doctor and his team were extremely organized, and very detailed and ensured I had a successful surgery. I was able to catch my flight the next day out of Istanbul without any medical issues. I was booked for a free eye check during my next visit to Istanbul to confirm that my eyes were in perfect condition. Special thanks to Abdurahym who made our English-Turkish communication easy and to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satici for diligently explaining and handling the process efficiently. Your team remains the best!
