Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best resultsAbdul, UK, 12 05 25

I would like to thank Dr. Derda Ozer for my surgery and follow-up appointment, as well as Hassan and Zainab from the MDO team. I am especially grateful to Hassan, who served as my host, translating everything for me and taking care of me throughout the process—from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the hospital. I will always be thankful to them for my procedure and for being such excellent hosts. I was well taken care of by Dr. Derda Ozer, and the hospital was well-equipped, with all the necessary facilities. My surgery went well, and on the same day, I was transferred to my hotel. The following day, I had a follow-up appointment. Hassan took me on a tour of Istanbul, visiting Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet area, and the Blue Mosque. I am very thankful to him for being a great host; he speaks excellent English, explains everything clearly, and is a genuinely positive person, and treated me like an older brother. Regarding my surgery, everything went according to plan like we talked about before my visit. As for the results, I am partially satisfied and still recovering, waiting for the final outcome related to my squint eye. I remain in communication with the MDO team and have been advised to give it three months, as recovery times can vary. I may consider future courses of action later on. If I achieve an 80% correction of my squint, I will be very happy. After my surgery, my eye still shows a slight deviation, and the size of my operated eye is still smaller than that of the other eye. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best results. I would definitely recommend MDO, as they are a genuine clinic, and the hospital they use for surgeries has all the necessary facilities and is based in Istanbul. They are a trustworthy company that takes great care of their patients, and without a doubt, they are neither fake nor fraudulent. The staff and team are very honest and generous.

Intraocular Lenses
Intraocular Lenses TL37404 - TL165645
Cataract surgery is a safe and effective treatment to restore clear vision for those affected by cataracts. The surgery involves removing the cloudy lens from the eye and replacing it with a clear, artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, which means you can go home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with drops, and you may be given medication to help you relax.Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye to access the lens.Lens Removal: Using a technique called phacoemulsification, the cloudy lens is broken up with ultrasound waves and then gently suctioned out.IOL Implantation: A foldable IOL is inserted through the incision and positioned into the lens capsule of your eye.Completion: The incision is usually self-sealing and does not require stitches.Recovery: Most people notice an improvement in their vision soon after surgery, though complete healing and vision stabilization can take a few weeks. You will need to use prescribed eye drops to help prevent infection and inflammation during this period. Benefits: Cataract surgery not only improves visual clarity but also enhances the quality of life by restoring your ability to perform daily activities with better vision. Risks: While cataract surgery is highly successful, as with any surgery, there are potential risks, such as infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure, which are rare and typically manageable.

Glaucoma Treatment
Glaucoma Treatment TL80151 - TL160301
Glaucoma Surgical Treatment Glaucoma surgery is a safe and effective treatment designed to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) and preserve vision in patients diagnosed with glaucoma. Surgical interventions typically aim to enhance the drainage of fluid (aqueous humor) from the eye or reduce fluid production, helping prevent further damage to the optic nerve. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with anesthetic drops, and sedation may be administered to help you relax. Incision and Drainage Creation: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye and creates a new drainage channel (trabeculectomy) or implants a tiny drainage device (glaucoma drainage implant or stent) to enhance fluid outflow. Fluid Regulation: The newly created pathway helps control fluid drainage, effectively lowering intraocular pressure. Completion: The incision site may be sutured or left to self-seal, depending on the specific procedure. Recovery: Post-surgery recovery typically involves the use of prescribed eye drops to control inflammation and prevent infection. Most patients experience stabilized or improved intraocular pressure within a few weeks. Regular follow-up appointments are crucial to monitor eye pressure and ensure successful healing. Benefits: Glaucoma surgery significantly reduces the risk of vision loss and optic nerve damage by effectively managing eye pressure and preserving visual function. Risks: While generally successful, potential risks include infection, bleeding, changes in vision, or increased cataract formation. These complications are rare and usually manageable with appropriate treatment.

Intraocular Lenses TL30000 - TL140000
Cataract Surgery TL30000 - TL140000
Cataract surgery is a safe and proven procedure designed to restore clear vision for individuals experiencing blurred sight due to cataracts. During this operation, the cloudy natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a transparent artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). The surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you can return home the same day. Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with special drops, and you may receive medication to help you stay calm and relaxed.Incision: A very small opening is made in the eye to reach the affected lens. Lens Removal: Using ultrasound technology (phacoemulsification), the cloudy lens is gently broken apart and removed. IOL Placement: A flexible, foldable IOL is inserted through the small incision and positioned securely within the lens capsule. Completion: The incision is typically self-sealing and usually does not require stitches. Recovery: Vision often begins to improve shortly after the procedure, although full healing may take a few weeks. Your doctor will prescribe eye drops to prevent infection and reduce inflammation during this period. Cataract surgery improves clarity of vision and enhances overall quality of life by helping you return to daily activities with greater ease. Although cataract surgery is highly successful, every surgical procedure carries some risks. Possible complications may include infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure. These are rare and generally manageable with prompt medical care.
C3-R - Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin TL75000 - TL125000
Corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL) is a safe, minimally invasive treatment used to strengthen and stabilize the cornea in patients with progressing keratoconus or corneal ectasia. The procedure works by applying riboflavin (Vitamin B2) eye drops and activating them with controlled UV-A light, which helps reinforce the corneal structure. Preparation: To ensure comfort, numbing eye drops are applied before the procedure begins.Epithelium Removal (when necessary): The thin outer layer of the cornea (epithelium) may be carefully removed to allow better absorption of riboflavin. Riboflavin Saturation: Riboflavin eye drops are applied regularly for about 30 minutes until the cornea is fully saturated. UV-A Activation: The cornea is then exposed to a controlled UV-A light source for 10–30 minutes, activating the riboflavin and promoting collagen crosslinking. Completion: A protective contact lens may be placed after the procedure to support healing and reduce discomfort. Recovery: Mild discomfort, blurred vision, and light sensitivity are common in the first few days and generally improve as the cornea heals. Prescribed eye drops help prevent infection and support recovery. CXL effectively slows or halts the progression of keratoconus, helps preserve existing vision, improves long-term corneal stability, and significantly reduces the likelihood of needing a corneal transplant. While the procedure is considered very safe, there is a small risk of temporary irritation, light sensitivity, corneal haze, or infection. These complications are uncommon and can usually be managed with appropriate care.

Overall the doctor was very professionalLara, Netherlands, 09 02 24

I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.
