What is Wart Removal?

Warts are benign growths on the skin of patients caused by a viral infection. Often warts disappear over time. Warts are removed by surgical and nonsurgical procedures.

How is Wart Removal performed?

Wart removal is performed by applying medications like salicylic acid or cantharidin onto the wart. Cryosurgery, by freezing the wart using liquid nitrogen, is also used. Other methods used include burning the wart, cutting the wart or using laser assisted procedures to remove warts.

Is Wart Removal painful?

Wart removal treatment is performed using a numbing cream or anaesthetic. Patients will not feel any pain during treatments.

How long does recovery after Wart Removal take?

It takes two to ten days to completely recover from wart removal. This depends on the method used for wart removal and each individual patient.

What after care is required after Wart Removal?

Patients should keep the wound left by wart removal covered with a bandage. Patients should take or put all prescribed oral or topical medications correctly. Patients should not touch or scratch the wound. They should not apply any cream to the wound. Patients should place ice packs on the wound after laser assisted wart removal for at least two days.

Toenail Fungus Treatment €60 - €80
Known medically as onychomycosis, it can cause nail discoloration and deformity, and in some cases, pain or discomfort while walking. Moreover, toenail fungus may be perceived as a social stigma, deterring those affected from enjoying routine activities, such as wearing open toed shoes or taking off their shoes in the company of others. While much progress has been made in identifying the causes of this condition, treatment options have been largely limited to oral drugs that are associated with adverse side effects and prescription topicals and home remedies that have not been proven effective.GenesisPlus is a new approach to addressing toenail fungus that puts patients’ safety and comfort first. The system applies laser energy to the toenail plate and surrounding tissue. The laser light gradually heats the fungus and promotes the growth of healthy, clear nails. The procedure requires no anesthetics and poses no risk of serious side effects. Treatment typically takes 10-20 minutes, and patients are able to return to regular activities immediately following the procedure.

Myself and my family of four have been seeing Dr. Sonja Bobart over the past several years with great satisfaction with her friendly and professional manner, her expert medical advice and treatment. What is special about her is that while she has all the medical expertise, she gives full consideration to natural healing methods and preventative medicine when possible. The professional offices are clean and the staff is very welcoming! The clinic is very handy to the city centre and south side, with plenty of parking in the area for access. Also it is handy that there are 2 pharmacies on the same street if you need to fill your prescriptions immediately after the appointment.

Ailesbury Clinic - Medical Aesthetics Clinic in Ireland

Ailesbury Clinic

David Lloyd Riverview (Ist Floor), Beech Hill Rd. Clonskeagh, Dublin, D04 AF10
Wart Removal €100 - €350
Warts are a result of the most common viral infection of the skin. Plantar warts grow on the plantar surface, or the sole, of the foot. They can be found anywhere in this area but tend to produce symptoms in areas of pressure and friction. Ailesbury uses liquid nitrogen, radiosurgery or CO2 laser in the treatment of  verrucaes. Warts can spread directly from person to person, but this isnt common. You are more likely to pick up the virus that causes warts in shared washing areas and showers like those you find in swimming pools or gyms. This is much more likely if you have small cuts on your feet.[
