It is important for dermatologists to take the lead in educating other clinicians that acne is often a chronic disease and not just a self-limiting disorder of teenagers. Why is this important? Because many of our medical colleagues and a significant proportion of the lay public dismiss acne as a natural part of growing up that has few real consequences. Yet considerable evidence shows that acne can be a psychologically damaging condition that lasts years. Acne medications are very efficacious, but only when patients use them correctly. Finally, patients should be taught the proper use of medications (topical agents should be spread over the entire involved area and oral medications should be taken as directed.
Rosacea Treatment 400 ج.م.‏ - 500 ج.م.‏
Rosacea is a frequently seen skin disorder which presents itself as diffuse redness, flushing that comes and goes, telangiectasia (distended capillaries and couperose), especially in the nose and upper cheeks, or may involve large, isolated or widespread papules and pustules. The lesions and problems normally affect the center panel of the face, mainly the nose and cheeks, but may involve the forehead and chin as well. In advance stages, the nose can become enlarged in a condition known as rhinophyma   Rosacea is often diagnosed in the 30 or 40 something range, but may be seen as soon as the early 20s, and as late as age 60. Rosacea is more prominent in women than men, but rhinophyma (characterized by a bulbous, enlarged red nose) is more common in men. Rosacea is most often seen in light-skinned persons of western-European descent, and is most likely hereditary. The disease is usually symmetrical, and distributed over the face. A form of rosacea may also affect the eyes. Ocular rosacea can result in eye redness, scaling of the lids, and conjunctivitis   Rosacea may affect dry or oily skin types. In oily skin, pores often appear dilated; nose pores enlarged and often impacted, and the nose may also have obvious telangiectasias, especially in the nostril area. Dry skin may look red and flaky, very dehydrated and sometimes peeling. Dry skin with rosacea is less likely to get papules or pustules, but it can happen
