After 5 years in general practice, Dr Campbell then took up a position in the oral and maxillofacial departments in the hospital for 2 years. The intention here was to hone his surgical skills and get ready to start providing dental implants. In the hospital, he provided surgical tooth extractions, as well as more complex facial surgery such as the excision of facial skin cancer and fixation of facial fractures. This opportunity gave me an ideal platform to head into his dental implant training back at the University of Sheffield.

We have been providing implants at SD&A since 2018 and are comfortable providing both single-tooth and full-arch implant cases. Dr Campbell has undertaken extensive training in providing complex cases, including advanced bone grafting techniques. He holds membership in the Royal College of Surgeons, the ITI (International Team for Implantology), and the ADI (Association of Dental Implantology).

His training in facial aesthetic procedures came soon after his hospital positions. With the knowledge of facial anatomy still fresh in his mind and his love for providing cosmetic results, this made complete sense. He has now been providing these treatments since 2014 with safe and excellent results.

Malcolm’s other key interest is cosmetic dental procedures. Anything from adult orthodontics, teeth whitening, composite bonding, and veneers. He is an Elite provider of Invisalign® clear aligners and has completed hundreds of Enlighten® whitening cases. This ties in perfectly when completing a smile makeover with composite bonding. Dr Campbell is a member of the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) to continually keep abreast with advancements in this field.

She is passionate about the treatment and management of periodontal (gum) disease and has completed training with the prestigious Dr Ian Dunn and Dr Phil Ower. This gave her the skills and knowledge to take ownership of managing periodontal conditions and maintaining dental implants.

Her original training as a therapist also enables her to provide dental fillings. For all her career, she has been working alongside dentists to deliver high-quality hand-carved aesthetic restorations and loves doing this at SD&A. She is also trained in the removal of baby teeth. Her other love is aesthetic treatments, and, like Malcolm, she is fully trained in providing anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal filler procedures. She is also trained in micro-needling and chemical facial peels. She has a general interest in facial cosmetics and has a keen eye for detail. Katie works alongside Malcolm in providing tooth whitening by being trained to undertake in-surgery whitening to get the whitest results possible. She can also take the impressions to aid the process of making the trays for at-home whitening.

In 2013, Katie was honoured to be chosen as a finalist for ‘Hygienist of the Year’. This award, hosted by The Dentistry Awards, is a prestigious event involving many of the industry’s leading lights.

Previous to Katie’s training as a Hygiene Therapist, she was trained as a general Medical Nurse. Here, she worked in a hospital, looking after patients often with complex medical conditions. She’s always loved caring for people and loves to do the same at SD&A.

Since starting a family with Malcolm in 2020, Katie has been in surgery less than before. However, she is still at the heart of the practice, providing facial aesthetics and working alongside our Practice Managers, to continue the growth and development of SD&A.

Henry enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is highly regarded for his attention to detail and patient-focused approach. He has a particular passion for helping nervous patients feel at ease, finding it deeply rewarding to work collaboratively with them to achieve their goals at a pace that suits their individual needs. Committed to continuous professional development, Henry has undertaken advanced training in Invisalign and cosmetic dental procedures, enabling him to provide patients with innovative and effective treatment options.

With a strong interest in modern digital dentistry, Henry regularly utilises cutting-edge technologies such as digital scanning to deliver precise and efficient care. He is passionate about incorporating digital workflows into his practice, allowing him to provide highly accurate diagnoses, bespoke treatment planning, and predictable, high-quality results. By integrating these advanced techniques, Dr Staley is able to enhance both the patient experience and treatment outcomes, particularly in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

Prevention remains at the heart of Henry’s approach to dental care. He takes the time to educate his patients on maintaining and improving their oral health, firmly believing that prevention is always better than cure. Beyond the practice, Henry has delivered oral health education in primary schools, homeless shelters, and special care services, helping to raise awareness of the importance of good oral hygiene and regular dental visits.
