Hi, are you considering Matamaross for dental care? Are you worried about your safety in Mexico? Wondering if the work is up to good quality standards? Let me put your fears to rest. I have been receiving dental care in Mexico and Belize for the past 15 years. Normally I prefer to go to Cancun. Due to the travel restrictions, required CPR testing and quarantine restrictions I decided to walk across the border from Brownsville Tx. To see Dr. Daniela Trevino. I stayed in Matamaross for Two weeks to get all the work done. Before going down I took the time to get a dental plan in the US along with X-rays. The plan in Myrtle Beach was gonna cost me 20k. I have no insurance. I made a great decision. I got all the work done for 4300$. I cannot even express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Daniela Trevino. Not only is she a perfectionist but she is very empathetic and patient. I suffer from extreme dental anxiety. I mean I am a handful. It is embarrassing to be 52 years of age and terrified of dental work. I warned her. I don’t think she could have imagined how sensitive and scared I would be lol. Her and the entire staff are so very professional. She spent soo much time redesigning my front veneers and correcting my bite. They helped with all my transportation needs on both sides of the border. Dr. Daniela was waiting for me at the border as I crossed just like she said she would. They transported me to my hotel and back every day and even made time to run me to El Pollo Loco for to-go food. One of my favourites lol. I have seen many dentists in Cancun. The prices in Matamaross were exactly the same. However, the care and attention shown to me by Dr Daniela and her staff were above and beyond my Cancun experiences. Who would have thought that I would find such a wonderful, creative and caring dentist in little ol Matamaross? Well, I did. She took time to video me while talking so that she could get my front veneers in optimal placement and design. For 12 years I had zirconia veneers, unfortunately, they stain and cannot be whitened. I am opposed to putting metal in my mouth. Dr.Daniela recommended zirconia veneers with a porcelain overlay. They look so much more natural than the zirconia recommended to me In Cancun and they will never stain or need whitening. She had no trouble whitening and matching my real bottom teeth to my new upper veneers. They worked so hard to make sure I was comfortable even bringing In an anesthesiologist to administer nitrice oxide on the day I had extractions and root canals. She worked soo very hard to please me and I have a reputation for being hard to please. I am educated in dental care and experienced with Dentists. I cannot tell you how pleased I was to meet this wonderful group of young professionals. They work together in perfect synchronicity to ensure you have a safe, wonderful and professional experience. On my last day, she even drove me to the border and bought me lunch out with her and her wonderful sister. Everyone spoke English very well and the front desk assistant Olias is just a delight. There is nothing to be afraid of. I would not recommend staying in Brownsville and crossing daily. I stayed at 2 different hotels, first the Holiday Inn and secondly the Residencial Inn next to Bennigans. The Residencial Inn has a far superior staff to the Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn was a quieter property. If you are aggravated by cigarette smoke do not go to Holiday Inns they require all smokers to smoke outside the front entrance leaving the lobby and elevators smelling like smoke. The Residence Inn is best if you get a room towards the back of the property to stave off the traffic noise. Their staff was heads and shoulders above the Holiday Inn. Matamaross is a quaint little border town. It has a Sams club, Bennigans, Dominoes pizza, Burger King, McDonald's and El Pollo Loco? There is also a shopping mall close to both hotels. I never felt unsafe and the Doctor’s office checked on me regularly. They always answered my calls and were available anytime I called. Once when I did not answer they even called the front desk to get them to make sure I was ok. I say go ahead and make your reservations now. You will not be disappointed. Not only do I have a new dentist but I feel I made a new friend. You will not regret saving soo much money for the same or better quality work you may find at home. Take the plunge. Also I wanna give a big shout out to Alfredo who helped me on the Brownsville shoe with transportation to my hotel and to the airport the following day. I had to force him to take some money for his time. I was honoured to meet such a nice guy from Venezuela. I found this to be an effective, safe and rewarding experience. You can’t go wrong when you choose a Dr. Like Dr. Daniella. I also met her parents and they are wonderful and soo very proud of her accomplishments as they should be. I really felt very welcome and safe. I knew I was in good hands. If my anxiety stressed her out she did a great job hiding it lol. She was respectful, compassionate and honest the whole way. I was blessed and you could be also. Have a nice day and go ahead and take the plunge.
