Professional dental cleaning takes from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.

Patients may experience pain and sensitivity during the teeth cleaning procedure. Hygienists may numb the gums of the patient before cleaning to make the procedure pain free.

What is the recovery time after having teeth professionally cleaned?

Patients who experience pain, sensitivity or bleeding after professional teeth cleaning usually recover within a few days.

What are the types of professional teeth cleaning procedures?

The types of professional dental cleaning include general dental cleaning, scaling and polishing, air abrasion, cleaning using ultrasonic scalers and laser assisted dental cleaning.

What care is required after professional teeth cleaning?

At Reva Dental we offer a full hygienist service; our two dental hygienists are very experienced and will achieve and maintain excellent oral hygiene for you.
Dentist Consultation from €30
Regular check ups and professional cleaning are essential to protect the health of your teeth and gums. At your dental consultation your teeth, gums and mouth will be carefully examined to ensure you are in good oral health. After the examination we will discuss with you any requirements you may have and offer advice on how to protect your teeth. Depending on the condition of your teeth and your previous dental treatments your dentist will usually recommend a dental check up at least once a year. At your check up appointment a full examination will be carried out on the oral soft tissue to ensure that it is healthy.
Dental Crowns from €500
On occasion a tooth may have significant damage which can not be repaired using a filling. As we recommend retaining the natural tooth where possible a patient can consider the option of crowning a tooth. This involves placing a crown over the damaged tooth. There are many different types of crowns and at Reva Dental in Kilkenny our preference is to recommended either all porcelain crowns or porcelain bonded to white gold crowns. This is consistent with our philosophy of using only the highest quality materials to ensure the best and longest lasting result. All crowns look like natural teeth once complete and are matched to your own dentition. If a tooth has been previously root treated it is often necessary to increase the strength of the tooth by placing a fitting called a ‘post and core’ in the tooth. These posts improve the strength and durability of the restored tooth. It is our policy to use laboratory fabricated white gold posts for the best clinical results. Our dentists will be happy to discuss all of your options with you and provide a written quote before any treatment is carried out.

I needed work done and wanted my teeth sorted before my upcoming wedding. I have a living fear of dentists hence needing all the work Meave could not have been nicer or made me feel any more at ease. She spoke to me about everything that needed to be done and we worked out a timetable to get it done before the Wedding. I felt 100% comfortable on every visit.
