5 50 Extractions, Fillings, Dental Bridges

I've had fillings, a bridge installed and an extraction.

I was greeted at reception warmly and put at ease immediately. Dr. Moore is very relaxed, informative and professional. I knew I had made the right decision in choosing Gate Dental Clinic. In all three visits, I felt absolutely no pain. My last visit was for an extraction and I didn't even feel nervous beforehand. If you need the best dental work, look no further.

You really have the feeling that they care. Dr. Browne made me feel nice and relaxed. I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist and it was quite a tricky extraction but but I must say after this experience I would gladly go back and highly recommend this practice for anyone like me who has a fear of dental visits.

It is worth every cent!!

4.9 50 Extractions, Wisdom Tooth Extraction, Braces, Sedation for dental treatments • Paid: €1640

teeth extractions

I removed 8 teeth for braces (4 wisdom teeth included - 2 impacted) just in one visit. Sedation was excellent - I remember when doctor with nurse put needle into my vein and then I fall asleep! Then I remember completely nothing but the time when nurse put gauzes into my mouth after extractions. First think - why they do nothing with me?? The reason was that treatment was already done!! I felt bad within 2 hours after treatment - a lot of blood in my mouth (8 wounds so it's not strange), feeling dizzy (normal effect after sedation). I received painkiller from nurse, very effective!! After 8 hours from treatment I feel like nothing happened today - I only feel spaces between my teeth :)

Many, many thanks to Dr Ian Wellings - he did fantastic job. He avoided cutting my gum and stitches when he removed impacted wisdom teeth (it was not easy job), my mouth are in really good condition because he removed wisdom teeth without chiselling as well - it was a wonder (I asked to give back all removed teeth - I was shocked when I saw wisdom teeth in one piece).

Treatment in this clinic is more expensive than in other clinics, but I am telling you - it is worth every cent!!

Were you pleased with the treatment?

So far I only got a consultation and am awaiting treatment plan so I can't comment really on the price. However, the clinic was very easy to find, the staff very friendly and the consultant very nice and knowledgeable.

Would you recommend the clinic?

I would recommend this clinic, communication prior to appointment was very good and everybody made me feel at ease and less nervous.

Would you return for further treatment?

This will depend on the price of the treatment

Dental Bonding

Bonding can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored or misarranged, and is an alternative to veneers. The tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. Once the liquid sets, a plastic resin is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by the dentist. Once set, the resin is trimmed, smoothed and polished to a natural appearance. The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single office visit, and can improve the appearance of a tooth significantly. However, since the plastic resin used is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel, it is more likely to stain, chip or break than natural teeth. Bonding typically lasts five to ten years before repair is needed.
€1100 - €1300

Dental Bridges

A bridge — a device used to replace missing teeth — attaches artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth, called abutment teeth. Bridges are either permanently attached (fixed bridges), or they can be removable. Fixed bridges are applied by either placing crowns on the abutment teeth or by bonding the artificial teeth directly to the abutment teeth. Removable bridges are attached to the teeth with metal clasps or by precision attachments.

Dentures

Dentures are a solution of last resort. Many people assume that they will require dentures as they age, but losing teeth is not a normal part of the aging process. If you care for your teeth well and guard against periodontal disease you should be able to keep your teeth for a lifetime. Saving even a few natural teeth is better than losing them all. Natural teeth or even portions of natural teeth (roots) can help you retain bone in your jaw and can act as stable supports for bridges, overdentures or removable partial dentures. Your dentist will try to save as many as possible of your natural teeth. If thats not possible, you may have to consider a complete denture or an implant-supported denture. The good news is that dentures arent what they used to be. With newer materials and improved technology, dentists can fashion dentures that fit comfortably, appear natural and help you stay healthier. Denture problems, such as clicking, slipping, gum irritation, staining and odor are signs your dentures arent fitting properly and may need to be adjusted, relined or remade. Although dentures may look like your natural teeth, they cannot work like them. Like artificial limbs, dentures cannot truly replace their natural counterparts. You will have to learn how to use your dentures, which can take several months. Simple actions like speaking and eating may feel different, and you may have to learn to make adjustment

Fixed Partial Dentures

Flexible Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures are composed of a metal framework with plastic teeth and gum areas. The framework includes metal clasps or other attachments, which hold the dentures in place. However, partial dentures are removed easily for cleaning. Fixed partial dentures, which most people call bridges, are cemented in place and better simulate natural teeth.

Endodontist Consultation

When the living tissue is irritated by decay and bacteria, or by the proximity of a deep filling, or indeed by trauma or chronic overload, it may become inflamed. Like any living tissue when irritated the inflammation is to try and protect the living tissue and is the bodys natural defence mechanism to try and combat the irritation.

Extractions

We may determine that you need a tooth extraction for any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed; others may have advanced periodontal disease, or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Other teeth may need removal because they are poorly positioned in the mouth (such as impacted teeth), or in preparation for orthodontic treatment.

Inlay or Onlay

Inlays and onlays can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin. These are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth. An inlay, which is similar to a filling, is used inside the cusp tips of the tooth; an onlay is a more substantial reconstruction, similar to the inlay but extending out over one or more of the cusps of the tooth. Traditionally, gold has been the material of choice for inlays and onlays. In recent years, however, porcelain has become increasingly popular due to its strength and color, which can potentially match the natural color of your teeth and in many cases has greater longevity.
