I’m a very nervous dental patient and have a severe gag reflex condition. I needed a root canal and Liam did a brilliant and professional job. Ensured I was comfortable throughout and did everything to minimise the gagging issues. Highly recommend. 5 starts

The dentist himself made me feel very comfortable, the examination was perfect (I just wanted a general check - up) and he explained to me areas of my dental hygiene that I needed to work on. He was able to answer all my questions - and there were quite a few! He and his nurse were so polite and helpful, taking my coat and making me feel welcome. I also noticed that there was a 'relaxation menu' available for those that would be there for surgery - blankets, iPod music, candles, and noise cancelling headphones were offered, amongst other things. This, while I was lucky enough to not need them, would no doubt be useful for anyone feeling anxious about facing more serious dental work. Just another example about how they made everyone feel welcome.

Overall I was very impressed and will be back soon for a cleaning session. Thanks to all the staff for a very positive and welcoming experience!

It was a long time since I had a check up, having moved from Donegal to Galway, so I did some research into dental clinics in Galway. Overwhelmingly, the reviews I read online were so positive about the Eyre Square Dental Clinic that I decided to give them a call. The receptionist was so helpful and managed to fit me in despite the busy week ahead of them.

On arrival, I was warmly welcomed and made feel very comfortable. Every patient can avail of chilled still water, tea or coffee - all complimentary. Free WiFi was also provided, not to mention a lovely free gift which every new customer is presented with! The staff were all delightful and helpful, and I wasn't waiting for very long - not that I would have minded, as it was very welcoming and relaxing.

Cementing back my fallen crown

Yes, the treatment was wonderful and so were the staff and doctor, and yes the fee was too reasonable, due to which I really appreciate it even more. Thank you.

Dental Crowns and two fillings

I got a crown done and two fillings yesterday morning. Needless to say I was not looking forward to it as I am a very nervous patient. However, I have to say the dentist and dental nurse put me at ease from the first moment and were very gentle throughout the procedure. I was impressed with how quickly they could make a crown and fit it. I was done and dusted in 1.15mins! Thanks to all the staff at Eyre Sq Dental.
I also have to mention I recieved a call from Dr. Eoin Fleetwood yesterday evening to check how I was feeling- now that's knowing your customer!

I had a consultation. Seemed very thorough; he took x-rays and explained everything. The girls at reception were very friendly and did their best to get me an appointment that suited. They even offered to take me during their lunchtime. They are allowing me to spread the payments to make it fit my budget. Having treatment next week, but so far everything was very good.

Full xrays, check up and thorough cleaning for €40 with pps number. Can't recommend highly enough!

Emergency dental care

Friendly, efficient and sympathetic care for my daughter. Dentist explained required procedures well and all staff were kind and caring.

Clean and Check-up

Treatment was good. A little hard selling at times, which can make them seem less genuine. I had clean and check-up. Hygienist did the clean and then seen dentist for about 5 mins. Overall treatment was good and gentle.

Root canals, check up and whitening

I have been coming to Eyre Square Dental for 2 years now and have always found the staff both pleasant and professional. My cleanings were always reasonable and pain free. My parents both attend this surgery and are also extremely happy with how personable and accommodating they are. My Dad feels nauseous when he's tipped back in a dentist chair, so they fit him in at 8am before he eats!
I got married this year and in my 6 month check up I asked Alistair for his opinion on a slight overlap on my front 2 teeth. I was conscious of wedding photos, so was willing to go through some pain financially and physically. I was pleasantly surprised when he suggested that there was no need, that all I required was a little whitening and that no one would notice the overlap. I found this honesty refreshing! They use the "Whitening for Life" system which is both reasonable, and in my case highly effective. It's a once off payment and then you get a tube of whitening gel at your 6 month check ups! I had a million dollar smile on my wedding day!
I also have to say that I really was treated with kid gloves when, 6 weeks before my wedding I had to have a root canal. I had only heard that root canals were arduous and painful. Upon being told I had to have one, and having had little sleep with the pain the night before...I burst into tears! Alistair seemed surprised but explained the whole process and even when the anesthetic wore off I had zero pain! Reception followed up with a call that evening and the next day to make sure I was ok and that I had dried my tears!
I cannot recommend this surgery highly enough. They are high-tech, no-fuss and hassle free. My husband and I will be patients for the foreseeable future!

I am a really nervous patient especially when it comes to getting injections prior to fillings. The staff were extremely helpful and put me at ease from the moment I arrived. My Dentist Alastair Woods had a number of tricks to take my mind off the anaesthetic and helped me over come my fears. I would highly recommend Eyre Square Dental Clinic, especially for nervous patients. My experience overall was very professional, friendly and fantastic. 10/10.

As I have a terrible fear of dentists I was extremely nervous going to this appointment and had only picked the clinic as the reviews had been so positive. Had an initial consultation with Dr. Woods re. a root canal procedure. Was hugely impressed with his gentle manner, explanation of the procedure and his patience in answering all of my questions. Wish that I had found this clinic years ago !
