We were referred to Dr. Peter Keane in 2023 by our dentist for my son Gabriel’s orthodontic treatment. I genuinely cannot recommend him highly enough.
Gabriel is autistic, moderately autistic, and although he is verbal, he does not engage in a lot of conversation or small talk and tends to stay very much in his own world. Because of that, finding the right orthodontist was incredibly important to us. From the very beginning, Dr. Keane was absolutely fantastic with Gabriel. He understood how to work with him, treated him with patience and respect, and made what could have been a very overwhelming experience feel safe and manageable.
Dr. Keane is an extremely professional orthodontist and exceptionally good at what he does. He is strict, which I personally found absolutely brilliant, because it showed how seriously he takes his work and how committed he is to getting the best possible results for his patients. He is thorough, clear, knowledgeable, and has very high standards, exactly what you want from someone looking after your child’s orthodontic care.
Gabriel’s treatment started with jaw correction for a few months, and after that Dr. Keane fitted his top braces and then the bottom braces. Today, 2nd July, was a very big day for us because Gabriel had his braces removed, and we are absolutely delighted with the result. The whole journey has been worth every cent. We will now continue with regular check-ups, and I feel very confident knowing Gabriel is still under Dr. Keane’s care.
I also want to mention how excellent the payment options are, because that makes such a difference for families. You can pay in one go, split it into two larger payments, or pay monthly, which is a fantastic option and makes treatment much more manageable and accessible. On top of that, there is a family discount if you have a second child or another family member having treatment, which was absolutely brilliant for us. There is also a discount if you pay in one go, which I thought was another fantastic option.
A few months ago, our second son Oliver also started his own orthodontic journey with Dr. Keane and is currently going through jaw correction with him. So far, everything has been going very well, which gives us even more confidence in recommending Dr. Keane and his care.
I also want to give a big shout-out to the amazing reception team in the Galway clinic and to the whole team who looked after Gabriel throughout his treatment. Every single person was kind, welcoming, professional, and so helpful. It really makes a difference when the whole team is warm, understanding, and supportive.
Another thing we really appreciated was how easy it was to get appointments and, when needed, reschedule them. They genuinely work with your schedule and always try to find the best option that suits everyone, which is such a huge help for busy families.
This was honestly some of the best money we have ever spent. Dr. Keane is a truly outstanding orthodontist, highly professional, skilled, firm in the best possible way, and wonderful with children who may need a little extra understanding, patience, and reassurance. We are so grateful for the care Gabriel received, and we are very happy that Oliver is now also under his care. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Peter Keane to anyone looking for an orthodontist in Galway.
