The best thing I've ever done

5 50 Orthodontist Consultation • Paid: €4200

I'm coming to the end of my treatment and can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done. I'm sorry I didn't do it years ago. It has been very easy and straightforward from the start. Tony explains everything as he's going along and always keeps me updated on my progress.

This is a lovely clinic. Very modern, clean, bright and airy. The staff are all lovely and friendly. Special mention goes out to Dervla, a really gorgeous girl who goes out of her way to help and accommodate you. Tony Coughlan is a perfectionist with his work. A beautifully good natured man with a constant smile on his face who put me at ease immediately. I cannot recommend Tony and his staff highly enough.

Prompt response but too expensive.

Quite helpful response and prompt.

This clinic has mailed me back, however I was not impressed with a presumption made by them that I was looking for Incognito lingual braces which seem to be almost twice the price of regular lingual braces. The price of the lingual braces quoted by this clinic is OK. However I would not opt for it unless they price can be dropped somewhat.

Braces

Most orthodontic treatment is carried out using fixed braces, sometimes known as ‘train track’ braces. This system uses a combination of metal brackets and flexible wires to gently move your teeth. Most orthodontists believe this is the most effective and precise way to move your teeth. The metal brackets we use are very small – smaller than the ones that many people remember from 10 or 20 years ago. Colours can be placed on the brackets for younger patients.

Adult Braces

Ceramic Braces

These are very similar to the traditional metal fixed braces, but the brackets are made of tooth-coloured ceramic instead of metal, making them less visible. These are popular with adults. (Please note that food colourings can sometimes stain these appliances).

Child Braces

Lingual Braces

These braces are also made of metal, but are fitted on the inside (back) of your teeth instead of the front. They are virtually invisible, but can be more uncomfortable than conventional metal braces, and are only suited to certain types of cases.

Invisalign™

This system consists of a series of removable and virtually clear aligners which are created from 3D computer images of your teeth and mouth. Each aligner is replaced every 2-3 weeks. As you progress through each aligner, your teeth move little by little, week by week. Aligners are removed for eating and drinking, and for cleaning your teeth. Invisalign® is only suitable for minor corrections.
