It’s so very hard to explain how delighted both my wife and myself are! Christina was the backbone of our success. She was ALWAYS available to answer or coordinate this process no matter how much it involved or how long it took. After finally getting here, oh my gosh. The good doctor is so professional and personable. Never rushed and completely satisfied and within 3 days I am a new man after years of dental issues. Once you arrive you are met flawlessly with a driver at the airport and transported to the Holiday Inn next to the clinic. Everything you possibly need is within this complex and a safe, clean place.

We came here with referrals from 2 different friends from the island of Stx. Price wise is a fraction of the state side dental prices. I also am a Rn with years of surgical experience and am very meticulous about safety and procedures and found the entire team and office at 100%!

I went to Dr Esteban for implants and some new teeth. It was an amazing experience. Everyone was so nice and so professional. The surgery went well I chose to get IV sedation. The anesthesiologist was great, and I had my temporary teeth in three days.

After that, I was able to eat immediately on most things. That was amazing if you need any work, I would recommend them highly. And the prices were even better. Have the best day ever. Call today for an appointment. I was recommended by one of my friends who has been there for 15 years and his whole family.

Dr. Esteban Urzola and his entire staff was amazing! I had originally planned to have All on 6 uppers and lowers done but after the first consultation he suggested we go a different route since I had many good teeth left. I am so glad I took his advice and recommendations of 4 implants and 22 crowns!

He is very professional, knowledgeable and caring for your long-term needs, looks and overall comfort! Although we opted to stay at another hotel nearby, we missed out on the amazing hotel they offer next door with many, many great food and shopping experiences right next to the dental office. Don’t be discouraged by the Holiday Inn Express name, the hotel is very nice and so convenient to the office.

Cristina is an absolutely amazing coordinator for all appointments, hotel stays and transportation! If she recommends it, please follow her advice! You won’t be disappointed at all!

The trip to Costa Rica from Florida has been awesome and I look forward to returning in 4 months for my permanents. I highly recommend Dr. Esteban Urzola for any dental needs!

Pura Vida!!

I saw Dr. Urzola in April of 2025 (this year as I type). I can not say enough good things about him or his team or the level of organisation and care received. They have the perfect set-up for patients travelling to see them. Our time there, went off without a hitch. As for the actual dental care, Dr. Urzola was very careful to spend time explaining everything being done and answering questions. He was very patient and caring. This is a first-class operation from the top to the bottom. Absolutely no regrets and would absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks.

After an accident, I was left with a mess. After years of dental procedures and problems of nearly every kind, I was down to 9 teeth and no molars. Dr. Urzola extracted the remaining 9 and installed 12 implants, 6 up and 6 down. It took several days for me to recover enough to be fitted with full acrylic arches but all went well. The arches look amazing and everything is healing well, now two months out. I plan to upgrade from the acrylic to zirconia in a few months. Looking forward to returning to Costa Rica. Make no mistake, though, this is serious work and, under the wrong circumstances, would be very, very painful.

Dr. Urzola and his team worked very hard to make sure I had what I needed to mitigate any major discomfort. Yes, after surgery it still hurt some and, yes, there was discomfort, but all of that was to be expected, was expected and was managed. So thankful for finding Dr. Urzola and his team. Such a blessing!

I called Urzola Dentistry because my wife needed a root canal, etc., and I also told them about the difficulty I was having with the temporary upper dentures given to me by my Turkish dentist after getting an All-on-6 implant procedure. The Urzola Clinic told me they would adjust it for me at no charge, as they have a lab on the premises.

That was the first positive impression.

When we arrived at their office, Dr. Urzola tested my temporary dentures in my mouth and also checked the first phase of my dental implants. He told me they could match the same zirconium crowns, abutments, etc., as I would be getting in Turkey — and match the price too. This saved me 18 hours of flights both ways, plus travel costs. Needless to say, I agreed and am very happy.

As for my wife’s dental work — it was done professionally and at a reasonable cost.

The phone contact associate, Christina, and the office coordinator, Beatriz, are extremely helpful and professional at their jobs.

All in all, we are highly recommending Urzola Dentistry. 😊

I appreciate the first-class treatment and for Dr Urzola taking the time to explain everything to me. Everything went as planned and now I'm waiting to heal. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone thinking about getting their smile great again. It's definitely the best place for dental implants.

I found that Dr. Esteban Urzola possesses an impeccable record of dentistry at a very affordable cost. I was first in contact with Cristina, Dr. Urzola’s Dental Coordinator. After submitting my referral, she provided an itemized invoice with a description of the service and product required to complete my treatment. I was astounded to learn that my total cost was between 20% to 25% of what I had been quoted in the United States.

Cristina suggested that I stay at Urban Flats, which is just a couple of miles from their dental office… maybe a five-minute drive. I found that Urban Flats is a clean, modern, and very safe location. She also advised that upon my arrival, I would be picked up at the airport in a timely fashion at no additional charge. The driver took me straight to the gated community of Urban Flats and even helped me find and check into the unit I had booked.

When I arrived at Urzola Dentistry, I found the facility to be spotless and comfortable with state-of-the-art dental equipment and appliances that rival the best facilities in the US.

At this time, I met Cristina, and I also met Beatriz, Dr. Urzola’s Dental Concierge. Beatriz, along with Cristina, makes things happen. They are both wonderfully effective in making everything work; they pay close attention to detail.

I found Dr. Esteban Urzola to be genuine and passionate about his clients, friends, and family. In the short time I have gotten to know him, I must attest that I am proud to call him my friend.

One of the concerns for some people is the pain one is expected to endure when receiving dental treatment. In my younger days, when dental treatment was necessary, I always approached the dental office with trepidation. And this time, I was predisposed to the same trepidation. I have an average threshold of pain, like most ordinary guys. Why would I feel any different, based on my past dental experiences?

As I was guided into the chair, Dr. Urzola handed me a small paper cup containing a potion he advised would help me to relax. I settled back into the chair and closed my eyes to avoid looking directly into the bright dentistry light. What happened next is almost indescribable. Although I kept my eyes closed, I was wide awake for the whole procedure. A few times, I heard him say, “Open,” I guess because I got lax in keeping my mouth open. But here is what I struggled with… THERE WAS NO PAIN!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!! I had no sensation of the three extractions, the insertion of four implants into my lower jaw (both sides), not during the bone graft on the right side of my jaw, nor the stitching of my gums. No sensation, BUT I WASN’T DREAMING; I WAS WIDE AWAKE!! This is what I am unable to reconcile. Because in the blink of an eye, he said I could get up… the procedures were complete. I wish that I had kept the time, but I didn’t. I don’t know if it took an hour or less, or possibly a few hours, for the complete treatment accomplished by Dr. Urzola. He advanced my procedures with meticulous precision; his skillset must be the best in the Western Hemisphere.

On the last day, before catching my flight home the next day, I was fitted with two temporary bridges on some of my natural teeth. This is the only slight discomfort I felt (other than my slightly swollen jaw from the bone graft) that lasted a few days when I got home, while my teeth shifted and adjusted to the temporary bridges. There was no pain to attest to, just a slight discomfort, unbelievable as it may seem.

As I was leaving Urzola Dentistry, I asked Beatriz for the location of a local store where I could purchase some ice cream. It started to rain, slightly, but Beatriz, being the sweetheart that she is, walked with me in the rain to show me where a local store was around the corner from the dentistry. She had the driver pick me up at the store in short order.

In conclusion, I met some wonderful people in a beautiful country, in addition to being the recipient of cost-effective and painless dental procedures… a win-win. Dr. Esteban Urzola and his team are par excellence, bar none. He is the best… and then… there's all the rest!

My experience with Dr. Urzola was very positive. He did a thorough analysis of my dental issues and carefully explained several options for implant procedures. His staff was equally helpful. It was obvious that the entire practice was efficient and welcoming. After a discussion of which implant procedure would work best for my front teeth, Dr. Urzola expertly completed the procedure. Three months later, I am happy with the implants and would recommend the Urzola practice to anyone seeking quality dental care.

I loved the experience I had at Dr Urzola’s office getting a 2-arch 6 over 6 implants. I have the acrylic temporaries now, but I’m going back next month for my permanent Zirconia implants.

They were all very accommodating with booking my hotel, pain medication, friendly and knowledgeable. I love them so much.

My story starts out a little differently than most. I was scheduled to have a knee replacement, two weeks before my surgery, I had a tooth break, I was told I had to get it fixed before they would reschedule my surgery.

After several visits to my local dentist, I was told I needed about $16k worth of work, 2 implants and other fixes to get cleared. I asked about a total reconstruction; I was told it would be upwards of $70k. I have travelled for most of my life and remembered getting inexpensive dental work done overseas so I started researching countries, eventually choosing Costa Rica due to the travel costs and the fact I had never been there. I researched about 20 different specialists, after an exhaustive elimination, I decided on Dr. Urzola. The reasons I chose him were many.

First, his accreditations speak for themselves. Second, I spoke to several references about their experiences and also the numerous good reviews. The treatment was the very best, with state-of-the-art equipment, he was able to show me what would need to be done, gave me options to the procedure and explained the process completely so I could make an educated decision on the path I wanted to take. The staff there is amazing, they will answer all of your questions and help in any way they can. I selected to have the sedation as part of my procedure, one of the staff members helped my wife get me back to our hotel and made sure I was ok through the entire process (and they even answered calls after hours). I know some are asking about the cost, the procedure and all the implants (10 of them) was $17k, about 24% of the cost of getting it done in the US. So, after two visits now I have a great new smile (with lots of complements) that I have not had for years, made some new friends (staff and other patients) and along the way got to experience a beautiful country and its people, pura vida.
