The diagnosis of Blepharospasm is always delayed and the patient has access to treatment 5 years on average after onset. Injections are the most efficient treatment of the Blepharospasm and can control the spasm for about 3 months. Not all the Blepharospasm are the same; each patient requires a personalised scheme of injections, tailored to their own type of Blepharospasm; a lot of poor response to the treatment are due to inappropriate targeting of the muscles around the eyes. In particular spasms of the eyelids (so called, apraxia of eyelid opening or eyelids dystonia) require injections along the eyelashes, called pretarsal injections for a good response to treatment. Dr Marion is a Blepharospasm London specialist for pretarsal injections, into the eyelids itselves, for treating this type of Blepharospasm, called Apraxia of eyelid opening. It’s one of the main reasons of failure of treatment of Blepharospasm. If the dystonia has spread to the lower part of the face, the patient in addition to the eye closure has involuntary spasms of the mouth, tongue, jaw. ( called Meige Syndrome). The treatment needs to address all the facial muscles affected by the dystonia as the treatment of only the eyes spasms will not be sufficient.

I saw Mr Hazim Sadideen for fillers and I couldn't be happier. I was nervous before the treatment but he put me at ease immediately and injection didn't hurt one bit which is a complete opposite to my last filler injection at another clinic. So professional, knowledgeable and just overall such a nice genuine doctor.

I visited MACS clinic for a treatment that I had been wanting since my late teens and from the moment I met the team I knew I would be in safe hands. Dr Vadodaria was very understanding and empathetic. He provided me with lots of information, so I could made an informative decision. There was no pressure at all to book anything future and it felt like more of a chat than business to him and he made me feel that my needs and welfare are his priority. On the day of surgery, I felt very calm thanks to the 2 kind nurses that held my hand during and was constantly asking If I was ok. I felt so at ease that I almost fell to sleep. The surgery was painless and went better than I could have imagined. The aftercare so far has been brilliant, I received an text the following day to check I was ok and it contained a number I could call if I needed anything at all. I did send over a message for reassurance that everything was ok and I received a call from the surgeon promptly. I would highly recommend MASCS clinic, the team are brilliant and it feels more like you are part of a family than another number/patient at a clinic/hospital. Dr Vadodaria and his team enjoy having general chat with you which made me feel like he has the time for you. Dr Vadodaria has not only changed my life with the surgery he carried out but he has also saved my life with asking me to quit smoking and I will forever be grateful to him and his team.
