I chose this clinic for a 360 liposuction procedure with fat transfer to the buttocks and hip-dips (only) after being reassured of their professionalism and high standards. The initial communication and consultations were detailed. I made my expectations very clear during two separate consultations, I believed the surgeon understood my requirements and I felt confident proceeding with the surgery.
However, after the operation, I quickly noticed that the results did not match what had been discussed and consented to during my consultations. Fat appears to have been placed much higher on my hips than expected, which has changed the shape and proportions of my torso in a way I did not anticipate. One side of my waist is now considerably higher than the other, my torso is thicker and the narrowest part of my waist is higher overall. My waist used to start widening below my navel, now it is above it. I had made specific requests about the areas I wanted treated, so this outcome was extremely disappointing.
Following the procedure, I raised my concerns with the clinic and provided supporting information. While I initially remained patient and hopeful that the issue would be resolved, communication has been extremely poor and several of my questions have still not been answered. When the clinic did respond to my emails, their response was much slower than anyone would reasonably expect: It took multiple weeks and I had to repeat my request several times for the Clinic to send me a copy of their complaints procedure, for example. It has now been exactly 12 weeks (60 working business days) since my operation, and I still have yet to receive a clear resolution or plan for how the matter will be addressed.
This experience has been very stressful, particularly given the time, trust, and resources I have invested. I did all I possibly could to try and pick a clinic that could safely give me the result that I asked for, my experience has not lived up to expectations or the reviews that can be found elsewhere online. I hope the clinic can improve its communication and follow-up care, ensuring that patients feel heard and supported when raising post-operative concerns in the future.
