If, like me, you are American, you should know that unlike in America, not everything out out-patient. When you turn up for your procedure, bring everything you need for a few days! I was a little nervous going for a complicated procedure where I don't know the language. The entire staff was so accommodating, and I appreciate them working with me. The hotel had 24-hour nurse staffing, and that provided additional comfort. The care was excellent. Also, Istanbul is beautiful, and you cannot find bad food there. My only regret is not booking extra time to be a tourist.
