Injections, among the most-common medical cosmetic treatments performed each year, are given in small amounts to block the nerves that stimulate the muscles around your forehead and eyes or that activate your sweat glands, in essence “paralyzing” them. Not all the muscles of the forehead or crow’s feet areas will be completely paralyzed, so you will still have the ability to have some facial expressions and motion to help you keep a natural look. The effect is not permanent, however, so you will want to have regular treatments.

The procedure works by altering the facial muscles beneath the skin that are related to wrinkles. A cream with local anesthetic will be placed on your skin prior to treatment, and ice will be immediately applied upon completion of the Treatment for Wrinkles treatment. Typically a small amount (1-2 cc’s) of Treatment for Wrinkles is injected into the area of the wrinkle.
