Lubbock Plastic Surgery Institute

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University in 1993 and with Honors from University of Texas Medical School in 1997. He was one of 19 residents nationwide selected to start a dedicated Plastic Surgery Residency in 1997. While completing his residency, he served as chief resident at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (2001-2002). He received additional training in cosmetic surgery at the Stuzin/Baker Fellowship in Miami and in breast reconstruction at the MD Anderson Clinic in Houston. He is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery in 2003 and elected into the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2007. Since becoming a plastic surgeon, he has performed thousands of cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, liposuction, tummy tuck, face-lifts, cancer surgery and more. He is the grandson of former Governor Preston Smith. He and his wife, Beth, were married in 1995 and enjoy raising their three children: Sarah Beth, Preston and Pierce.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in Zoology. He then attended medical school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His formal surgical training included completion of a five year General Surgery Residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, one of the largest and long-standing hospitals in the Dallas, Texas Metroplex. He was then selected to the long-established Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. During each training experience, he served as Chief Resident during each respective senior year. He is Double Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is currently a Candidate for Membership to the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is currently an active participant in the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Maintenance of Certification Program. 2001 to 2005.
