Acne Scarring - Fully Ablative CO2 & Erbium (not fractional) from £3500
Ever Clinic in Glasgow have made significant investment in the past few years to bring patients with acne scarring an answer to their problem. Dr Cormac has completed over two years of theoretical and clinical training under the worlds experts, including preceptorships in the USA, to bring the very best solutions home to the UK. Dr Cormac is now considered an expert amongst those with whom he trained, and regularly teaches at conferences in the UK and abroad on these techniques.  Ever Clinic’s experts are on hand with access to multiple modalities to help reverse the damage acne scarring has on your face. We can also proudly boast we have access to the ONLY Erbium: YAG and CO2 fully ablative lasers in Scotland, giving you simply stunning results.  Our machines are made by Sciton and Lumenis respectively and cost in the region of £130k each. These are surgical lasers and are typically used in hospitals. There are currently only six Lumenis Ultrapulse machines in the UK. Other CO2 lasers and Erbium lasers, such as the Candela CO2RE, Alma Pixel and Deka Smartide, are cheaper aesthetic lasers that deliver lower powered fractional laser and substantially milder results. They also require little knowledge or skill to operate. Despite claims by the manufacturers, they are simply not capable of providing the same level of result that Sciton or Lumenis can.

Dermal Fillers
Fillers are materials which are in injected either into the skin or just below the skin to plump up lines and wrinkles on the face. They can also be used for plumping up lips and correcting nasal deformities. They can also be used to re-volumise the face and replace the youthful volume which is lost with age. This often also has a lifting effect on the jowls and leads to a slight improvement in facial descent – the so-called liquid facelift.Common areas for treatment with dermal fillers include; lips, cheeks, tear troughs (near the eyes), chin, nose, brows, nasolabial folds, mouth corners. As we age the expression lines on our skin, which are a result of the muscles which move our face, change from being temporary dynamic lines to becoming permanent static lines (wrinkles). Regularly using muscle relaxing injections can slow or stop this progression but if it has already taken place then dermal filler will most probably be needed in addition to muscle relaxing injections to give the best improvement. The filler is injected into the wrinkle to help plump up the skin. When used for the lips or volumising it is injected deeper into the skin. The filler tend to last between 9-12 months and some will last much longer.Recently there has been a great deal of media attention on serious disfiguring complications resulting from permanent fillers. At Elanic, we believe the use of permanent fillers is unnecessary and dangerous and we only use temporary fillers, the majority of which can be removed using a simple injection. For permanent results we prefer to use a client’s own fat, removed, processed and re-injected to give the ultimate in natural long lasting results.

The doctor genuinely cares about his patients well beingShaun, UK, 06 12 22

I had a cyst removed from my head, I chose clinical medica because I couldn't get this surgery on the NHS. I felt they offered very good value for money and this will now be my number 1 port of call if I develop any more cysts. From the receptionists to my first meeting with Dr Awfa Paulina I was made to feel welcome and relaxed, like a part of the family. Dr Awfa genuinely cares about his patients well being and made sure I knew exactly what the surgery would entail and how the procedure would be executed.

The treatment was explained before & during the procedureMr, UK, 18 09 22

Hi. I had micro needling & UV treatment. The treatment was explained before & during the procedure. This was my first ever private clinic, so I don't have a basis for comparison but the experience was exactly as I expected and I felt comfortable.

Acne Scars Treatment
Acne is a common skin condition mostly affecting teenagers/adults & can also have psychological effects if not treated or managed. An estimated prevalence 90-97% among adolescents. It can also have a psychosocial impact should scar tissue develop. Acne can’t really be cured but can be controlled with treatment. There are scales for grading acne. There are topical & oral medications, which may fall into either the prescription or over the counter categories – eg: antibiotics, topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide creams, etc. Your private GP is likely to prescribe Isotretinoin type treatments. The retinoid isotretinoin should only be prescribed with those have true expertise & a thorough understanding of the risks of isotretinoin therapy. We are dedicated to helping those not taking drugs, or post treatment, who still have skin or scarring problems. We have heard that some antibiotics are becoming less effective & retinoids having many unwanted side effects, but this is not the case with laser & light treatments! Acne Vulgaris is a common skin disease characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads & whiteheads), papules, nodules (large papules) & possibly worst of all permanent scarring. Notice that acne is not confined to facial areas but breakouts can come in different forms & can be on different parts of the body. And it’s not just restricted to youth; some continue to have acne into their forties!
