What is a Threadlift?

A threadlift, or suture lift, procedure is an anti-aging procedure where special absorbable and invisible threads are used to augment the features of the face and hold the skin and facial tissue in place. The threadlift procedure is long lasting compared to anti-aging injectables. The procedure augments drooping eyebrows, sunken cheeks and sagging jowls and necks. It takes about two or three hours to carry out. Threadlift results last for about two years.

How is a Threadlift performed?

Sterile thin needles with absorbable, fine barbed thread dipped in stem cell liquid are inserted under the skin of the area to be treated. They are pulled out together leaving the thread inside the skin. Collagen is stimulated when the needles are pulled out and this augments skin tone. The thread is slowly absorbed by the skin.

Are Threadlifts painful?

Threadlifts are performed after administering local anaesthesia. Patients will feel no pain during a threadlift procedure.

The injectable treatment for wrinkles is applied by considering the naturalness in expression and the ability to maintain a fresh & rejuvenated look without changing any facial features. The active ingredient is used for more than thirty years in medicine to treat contractions of facial muscles and “ticks". The muscles that create wrinkles loosen, as the contractions become less intense and wrinkles disappear.  The goal of the treatment is not to eliminate all wrinkles, quite the contrary. We wish to maintain mild movement so that an individual doesn’t lose their expressiveness. The therapy is applied to the upper third of the face and in particular the horizontal wrinkles of the forehead, the crow’s feet wrinkles and in between the eyes. Important details The active ingredient is injected intramuscularly with the help of a very thin needle and the procedure is almost painless. In the injection sites you will see slight swelling that will disappears after a few minutes. The muscles need 3-4 days to calm down and to allow the overlying wrinkles to reside.
