Gastric bypass – a bariatric surgery and stomach-altering procedure that helps you lose weight effectively. This procedure aims to help you consume less food by dividing the stomach into a small pouch and rearranging the small intestine. This pouch is connected directly to your small intestine, speeding up absorption and digestion. The gastric bypass works by dividing the stomach into two uneven parts; the pouch and a larger part of the stomach which focuses on secreting juices that support digestion. Also known as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, the procedure is highly effective and could cause as much as an 85% drop in excess weight within the 6 to 18 months of surgery.

Revision surgery, or laparoscopic conversion, is a bariatric surgery procedure, also known as obesity surgery. It involves reoperating a patient who is already undergoing one of the bariatric operations. Due to the range of application or application of the expected treatment methods, patients may benefit from the assistance of switching surgery to change the method of treatment of obesity. Depending on the previously examined bariatric operations and the results of treatment to date, during treatment of the patient together with the surgeon they decide on the choice of a new method of treating obesity and laparoscopic conversion surgery is planned. The main result after bariatric surgery is significant weight loss. It is associated with excess flaccid skin in different parts of the body - arms, drooping breasts, abdominal, thighs. The surgical correction of this excess skin can complete the process oflosing weight and bring the final satisfaction from new body. The operation consists in liposuction to remove the rest of the excess fat and then surgical removal of the skin from typical incisions. The surgery is connected with visible scars.

Incredibly effective bariatic surgery. The procedure is particularly recommended to people suffering from advanced obesity – those affected with type-2 diabetes and to whom traditional methods of weight loss proved to be ineffective. Gastric bypass implantation is a guarantee of excess weight reduction – even up to 85%. The effectiveness of this method is based on the reduced stomach volume – ingesting large amount of food is simply impossible. The surgery consists of creation of a small, about 50 ml in volume, pouch from the upper stomach and making anastomosis, which results in shortening of digestive process and improvement of glucose metabolism (treatment of diabetes). The method is perfect when other weight loss plans are not effective.  It is especially recommended to very obese people and those suffering from diabetes. The patients is hospitalised for a few days after the surgery. During the procedure a modification of the gastrointestinal tract is performed – we observe shorter digestion time.

We perform revision surgeries, which may be sporadically required in certain patients who – many years after their initial surgery – have started to gain weight again. These include patients who have had adjustable or non-adjustable gastric bands placed around their stomachs

The procedur is recommended for people suffering from severe obesity and those suffering from chronic diseases (e.g. hypertension). The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. The effectiveness of the procedure is very high and guarantees spectacular effects. Sleeve gastrectomy is also accompanied by the disappearance of other diseases related to the development of excess weight and obesity. During the surgery about 2/3 of the stomach is resected, causing an irreversible reduction of its volume, shortening of the digestion process and radical decrease of hunger. Why? During the surgery, usually laparoscopic, a part of stomach in which ghrelin is secreted is resected.  After the surgery the patient remains at the in-hospital observation and usually returns to the normal physical activity after a few weeks. The method is not of a definitive character – in case of a failure it is possible to perform an additional procedure (RYGB).
