I felt very safe and cared for every step of the wayAlison, US, 10 08 25

I travelled here from the United States to get gallbladder surgery in May 2025. The waiting list for gallbladder surgery in the U.S. is unbelievably long, unless it’s an emergency. I had already been following a very low-fat diet and hadn’t had an attack in months, but I knew it was a matter of time before I needed it out, so I looked into different clinics to see if there was another way. First off, I have a phobia of medical needles and surgery. I was treated extremely well, and I felt like my fears of needles and surgery were listened to. I could also schedule it to fit with when I would already be overseas, so they were flexible with dates, unlike in the U.S. i was able to stay the night before surgery in the hospital, and they kept me there for 24 hours after surgery as well (so 2 overnights total). They attended to me regularly after surgery to make sure I was doing well, and I felt cared for. I did wind up having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics a couple of hours before I was scheduled to leave, and they were prompt in getting me some meds to counteract that (I'm already allergic to another antibiotic, so I knew what it was when it was happening). The staff were great with following up and letting me know what to do for aftercare. I’m really glad I went to the KCM clinic - it is a couple of hours outside the main city of Wroclaw, though, so don’t make the same mistake I did and get a hotel in the city, though. But they do have a shuttle service, so that was very helpful. Also, if you DO happen to find yourself in Wroclaw (old town), there’s an amazing cat cafe called the Cat and Alice! Overall, I was very happy to find a good place to get my gallbladder out, where staff actually care about you and also will treat you like a human being, and not being charged $50 for a Tylenol or $500 for a mediocre breakfast (their food at KCM clinic is quite good and homemade there! amazing!) Everyone I spoke to in the U.S. thought I was a bit nuts for choosing to go to Europe for surgery, but it was the best decision I ever made - financially it was a no-brainer and with all the other reasons, i just did not entertain the possibility of getting it done stateside unless it was an emergency. I’m so thankful I had this opportunity and had a good experience despite my phobias. i felt very safe and cared for every step of the way.

Revisional Bariatric Surgery 27518 zł - 28366 zł
Revision surgery, or laparoscopic conversion, is a bariatric surgery procedure, also known as obesity surgery. It involves reoperating a patient who is already undergoing one of the bariatric operations. Due to the range of application or application of the expected treatment methods, patients may benefit from the assistance of switching surgery to change the method of treatment of obesity. Depending on the previously examined bariatric operations and the results of treatment to date, during treatment of the patient together with the surgeon they decide on the choice of a new method of treating obesity and laparoscopic conversion surgery is planned. KCM Clinic is one of the few specialised hospitals in Central and Eastern Europe that uses modern three-dimensional laparoscopy technology during bariatric operations. The use of 3D imaging techniques analysis allows for high quality image visualisation and surgery safety. As a result, patients are operated on with much greater accuracy and recover strength faster.
Gastric Bypass from 24126 zł
Gastric bypass – a bariatric surgery and stomach-altering procedure that helps you lose weight effectively. This procedure aims to help you consume less food by dividing the stomach into a small pouch and rearranging the small intestine. This pouch is connected directly to your small intestine, speeding up absorption and digestion. The gastric bypass works by dividing the stomach into two uneven parts; the pouch and a larger part of the stomach which focuses on secreting juices that support digestion. Also known as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, the procedure is highly effective and could cause as much as an 85% drop in excess weight within the 6 to 18 months of surgery.

Revisional Bariatric Surgery from 25000 zł
We perform revision surgeries, which may be sporadically required in certain patients who – many years after their initial surgery – have started to gain weight again. These include patients who have had adjustable or non-adjustable gastric bands placed around their stomachs
Gastric Bypass from 21000 zł
Incredibly effective bariatic surgery. The procedure is particularly recommended to people suffering from advanced obesity – those affected with type-2 diabetes and to whom traditional methods of weight loss proved to be ineffective. Gastric bypass implantation is a guarantee of excess weight reduction – even up to 85%. The effectiveness of this method is based on the reduced stomach volume – ingesting large amount of food is simply impossible. The surgery consists of creation of a small, about 50 ml in volume, pouch from the upper stomach and making anastomosis, which results in shortening of digestive process and improvement of glucose metabolism (treatment of diabetes). The method is perfect when other weight loss plans are not effective.  It is especially recommended to very obese people and those suffering from diabetes. The patients is hospitalised for a few days after the surgery. During the procedure a modification of the gastrointestinal tract is performed – we observe shorter digestion time.
Sleeve gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve) from 19000 zł
The procedur is recommended for people suffering from severe obesity and those suffering from chronic diseases (e.g. hypertension). The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. The effectiveness of the procedure is very high and guarantees spectacular effects. Sleeve gastrectomy is also accompanied by the disappearance of other diseases related to the development of excess weight and obesity. During the surgery about 2/3 of the stomach is resected, causing an irreversible reduction of its volume, shortening of the digestion process and radical decrease of hunger. Why? During the surgery, usually laparoscopic, a part of stomach in which ghrelin is secreted is resected.  After the surgery the patient remains at the in-hospital observation and usually returns to the normal physical activity after a few weeks. The method is not of a definitive character – in case of a failure it is possible to perform an additional procedure (RYGB).
