2020 was supposed to be the the start of my journey at KCM Clinic for a full face & neck lift upper & lowers eye lids. Then covid hit us so I couldn’t go! Tried again that same year in August but for personal reasonings it wasn’t meant to be. Fast forward January 2025, I was at KCM Clinic on a Patients Group Trip ( a group of patients who travel together with a patient manager, in my case Kim ) I arrived with every expectation of having what I desired eventually! With the thorough examinations & diagnostic tests unfortunately I wasn’t able to have the surgery due to several factors. I was devastated! But i smoked, i had anemia , ( discovered via the post op tests when I arrived ) and i was on medication that made my hands swell twice the size. So , with another consultation with Dr Luniewska, she agreed to preform upper eyelid correction. I was happy to still be having something but grateful it was under local anaesthesia and I knew I wasn't taking any risks. 6 Months later with a proper diet , addition of vitamin d/c and arnica plus i stopped smoking enforced with all the advice given from Kim and Dr Luniewska I finally had my dream op on the Summer Group Trip! All the medical team are lovely. Dr Luniewska is very professional. She takes no risks and does not give false expectations. The nurses were good and knew there job well as well as the co ordinators based in the clinic. The clinic is spotless! Kim the international patients manager was super professional/caring and their when you need anything! Even brought us a latte once we were allowed to drink. If your thinking about surgery abroad there’s only one place and that's KCM Clinic especially group trips if your nervous or have no one to travel with. I highly recommend and I also encourage everyone to take the pre op instructions carefully and prepare. I'm now one week post op and im healing perfectly and already starting to see the results. We use the ORBERA Managed Weight Loss System. You are sedated, and doctors guide a thin, soft balloon down your throat and into your stomach. The gastric band which is sometimes also called a lap band is ideal for patients with a BMI over 30. It is a long term weight loss solution for those who are chronically overweight or obese. The gastric band procedure is conducted via keyhole surgery, which uses several small incisions rather than one long one. The procedure takes about an hour and will require patients to stay overnight in the hospital. Recovery from gastric band surgery is about two weeks. The gastric band is a hollow ring that surgeons wrap around the stomach. It is filled with fluid which tightens the ring and reduces the capacity of the stomach. It also has the most drastic results, patients can loose as much as 80% of their excess weight. The gastric bypass does holds more health risks than the other procedures. Those with medical disorders that could make surgery risky, may not qualify for the gastric bypass. Patients who receive the surgery must take dietary supplements for the rest of their life.
