Sleeve Gastrectomy is weight loss procedure aimed at permanently removing 75% of the stomach to make it smaller. This means you will only be able to eat small meals. Your surgeon will explain the benefits and risks of having a sleeve gastrectomy, and will also discuss the alternatives to this operation. This is a keyhole operation that requires a general anaesthetic. You should expect to be in hospital for 1-2 days and the surgeon will discuss this with you.
