Dr. Fayez Basha is a general surgeon with extensive training and long term, hands-on expertise in laparoscopic, or keyhole, surgery. He works privately as a consultant general/laparoscopic & obesity surgeon at the popular American Academy Cosmetic Surgery Hospital and also for the surgical department at The City Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. Dr. Basha has had extensive training in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgical techniques in Dublin. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is a member of The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO) as well as a member of the Saudi and UAE General Laparoscopic Surgeon Association. He currently carries out hundreds of laparoscopic obesity and general surgical procedures per year and has gained a reputation for his safety during performing surgery, with a very low complication rate and a zero mortality rate around the region (Syria, Saudi Arabia & UAE ). Dr Antoine KACHI was born in 1970 in Antelias, Lebanon. He obtained a College degree in Sciences at "College des Apotres" in 1988 , and his MD from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1997. He did his surgical training at the Lebanese University affiliated hospitals in Lebanon from 1997-2000.Dr KACHI completed also his fellowships in laparoscopic surgery at Saint Joseph foundation hospital and Bariatric Surgery at Jean Verdier university hospital in Paris-France from 2000-2004. Dr KACHI is known to perform the first trans-vaginal cholecystectomy in the Middle East at the BMC in 2010, and also the first SILS port cholecystectomy at the RHUH in 2009.
