Electro-acupuncture is the term used to refer to the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles, or even without needles, to acupuncture points on the body. This Oriental medicine technique was developed in China in the 1930's, and though it is a fairly recent development in the ancient method of acupuncture, the idea behind it corresponds directly with long-held beliefs. Acupuncture operates on the idea that a person's qi, or life force, runs through body along certain meridians, and that specific points on the body correspond with these meridians. When these points are ‘activated' or stimulated by touch, specific complaints of chronic pain or illnesses can be alleviated. Using a gentle electrical current in conjunction with, or instead of, acupuncture needles, is an alternative way to stimulate the point and enhance the qi.

The Chinese healing art of acupuncture originates from China 2500 years ago. Now it has become a complete medical and care system using which to encourage the body to promote natural healing and improve function. This approach is proven to be an effective way to maintain good health and to resolve new or lingering health concerns. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine and sterilized needles into specific points along the meridian channels to achieve a therapeutic effect. Each treatment is tailored which means different Acu-points will be chosen for patients’ benefit. It will stimulate and regulate the flow of the vital Qi (energy) of the body which is, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the universal force of keeping the balance of the system and restore health. From western medicine point of view, through needling, acupuncture can stimulate the nerve system and activate “endorphin” in our system so as to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions to relieve pain and to ease symptoms. The aim of acupuncture is to correct imbalance of the Qi and to recover physical, emotional and spiritual equilibrium.

Infertility is the inability to conceive after a year of unprotected intercourse in women under 35, or after six months in women over 35, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term. Couples who have known bariiers to feritlity, such as endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, male factor infertility, irregular cycles etc., do not need to sit out the traditional "waiting period" to seek expert care for infertility. Herbs have been used to promote infertility for thousands of years and can be considered to be a form of natual fertility medication. It is especailly helpful if there is a scaring of the fallopian tubes, irregular menses, abnormal cells in the reproductive tract, or "unexplained" infertility. It may take several months for the full effect of this herb to come on and pregnancy may not occur until you have used it for a year or two.
