Dr Boecklin has been practicing medicine and integrated complementary and alternative medicine for 20 years. Her approach to health and healing is to provide patients with individually tailored health and well-being programs using the safest and most effective combination of treatments from the world of both conventional and complementary therapeutic systems such as Homeopathic Medicine, Homotoxicology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Auricular Acupuncture, Pediatric Acupuncture, Flower essence therapy, Medical Nutrition and Stress reduction techniques — all in the effort to treat the whole person and to empower patients in their journey towards long lasting self-healing. Dr Boecklin is a graduate from University “La Sapienza” Medical School in Rome where she also obtained her Specialist qualification in Clinical Hematology. She has worked as Clinical assistant at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College, London in the fields of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantations. Becoming soon aware of the limitation of conventional medical practice she has then decided to explore different therapeutic systems to broaden her approach to healing to one that is not based solely on the Western biomedical model, but also draws from other cultures. She gained full Membership of the Faculty of Homeopathy and subsequently went on to studying acupuncture obtaining a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine issued by the Chinese Medical

The clinic is based in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire and offers professional therapy treatments such as Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Aromatherapy massage and Reflexology.  The clinic is run by Patti Hemmings who also provides all of the treatments.  Patti will now explain further about her professional experience and how she works with individuals who attend the clinic. Acupuncture Space is run by Elma McElligott RGN, BSc (Hons), MBAcC, Lic Ac, and is located in East Sussex. I qualified from the International college of Oriental Medicine with a BA(Hons) and Licentiate of Acupuncture after four years of study.  I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and comply with current UK health and safety legislation.  I am appropriately insured and honour a strict code of discipline, ethics, hygiene and confidentiality between patient and practitioner. I keep up to date with new research and techniques by attending a variety of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses each year including the British Acupuncture Council's annual conference. I enjoy the variety of general practice, and am passionate about sharing the benefits of this wonderful system of medicine with my patients. I also have special interests in emotional issues including anxiety and depression, and also in using Acupuncture for male and female fertility concerns and gynaecological problems.
