At ForWard Sports Therapy we offer assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries or problems. We use sport and exercise principles for preparation and prevention of injuries through rehabilitation programmes and sports massage.

 Sports Massage (Deep Tissue Massage)

A sports massage is a form of deep tissue manipulation to soft tissues in the body. Remedial exercises are used within the massage in order to facilitate specific stretches if necessary. These stretching exercises are Neuromuscular Techniques, Soft Tissue Release and Muscle Energy Techniques.

A sports therapist can assist anyone with a musculoskeletal problem – it does not have to be a sporting injury. If you suffer with aches and pains or have a specific related problem –do not hesitate in asking.

An injury will be assessed thoroughly before treatment will begin. Dependent on the injury treatment can consist of electrotherapy, remedial massage (a specific massage to only the injured area), a variety of stretches, taping and specific exercises.
