About Church Lane Physiotherapy Clinic
Chartered physiotherapists treat patients suffering from painful musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and sports injuries at this clinic located at Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire. The aim of the team is to help patients recover from their injuries or conditions in the shortest possible time, restore their normal function and prevent the condition or injury from recurring. Conditions treated include backache, muscle and joint pain, sprains, sports injuries and arthritis related aches and pains. Job Title: Physiotherapist Biography: Richard qualified in 1987 at the Oswestry & North Staffordshire school of physiotherapy taking up a junior rotation at the North Staffordshire hospitals Whilst working as senior orthopaedic physiotherapist, he gained early experience in sports injuries working with Port Vale F.C. In 1990 Richard took up the full time post as physiotherapist to Stoke City F.C. working for managers Alan Ball, Lou Macari and Joe Jordan.
Richard has gained extensive experience in the treatment of orthopaedic, sports and post operative conditions over 20 years in private practice, building good working relationships with local orthopaedic surgeons including those with international reputations in the fields of knee and tendon injuries. He has had his own clinic for over 10 years.
Ms Sally Allbrighton
Job Title: Physiotherapist Biography: Sally graduated from Manchester University, in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.She then returned to University in 2003 to study at Masters Degree level, graduating in 2007 with an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Healthcare. This consolidated her previous degree and enabled her to focus further on advanced anatomy, physiology and research.
Sally has been a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for 11 years, assessing, treating and rehabilitating a broad spectrum of orthopaedic conditions. She has a particular interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy covering the assessment and treatment of female gynaecological problems, in particular; stress urinary incontinence and urge incontinence. Sally also treats obstetric patients, helping ladies to manage any pregnancy related concerns from pelvic and back pain to episodes of incontinence. Aside from this Sally regularly practices acupuncture for pain relief which she believes is effective when either used independently or in conjunction with traditional physiotherapy. Sally joined Church Lane Physiotherapy Clinic in November 2006. She regularly treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions covering early to late stage rehabilitation.
Mr Hitoshi Nitta
Job Title: Physiotherapist Biography: Tosh graduated from Kings College, University of London with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 1997 and has worked as a physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal conditions over the last 14 years. Whilst gaining valuable experience in NHS for the first four years, Tosh has also worked with local football clubs such as Leek Town Football Club and Kidsgrove Athletic Football Club.
Tosh joined Church Lane Physiotherapy Clinic in June 2001, enabling him to continue expanding his interests in sports injuries and also to develop an interest in Occupational Health. As part of the clinic’s services, Tosh provides on site physiotherapy at Muller Dairy where he has worked closely with the Occupational Health team over the last eight years, assisting their employees to remain or return to their work in the best possible conditions. Working with the Occupational Health team has allowed Tosh to assist the prevention, and treatment of work and leisure based injuries.
Tosh also uses acupuncture as adjunct to his treatment, where appropriate, allowing him to blend his Oriental background into clinical practice.
