About Hallamshire Physiotherapy

High quality treatment and rehabilitation of a range of muscle and joint problems are performed at this physiotherapy clinic. The clinic is located in Broomhill in Sheffield. Biography:
He is a Director of Hallamshire Physiotherapy and has worked as a clinician and lecturer for over 20 year and was a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam & Leeds Metropolitan Universities. Recently, he has returned to Sheffield Hallam University as an Associate Lecturer and MSc clinical tutor. He completed his PhD in the rehabilitation of shoulder fractures and has published extensively on this area. He lectures at both national and international conferences. His main area of interest is in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders with an emphasis on movement dysfunction and has a keen interest in the treatment of chronic pain and has strong links with Dr Paul Murray at the Chronic Pain Unit in Sheffield. As part of his interest is nerve pain, he has been invited to be a member of the advisory panel of the Neuropathy Trust.

She is a Director of Hallamshire Physiotherapy and was a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Leeds Metropolitan University where she taught on the undergraduate and post graduate courses. Post-graduate students from Sheffield Hallam University undertake clinical placements with Karen and the Neurological team. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 1987. Her main area of interest is the treatment of neurological conditions including Stroke, Multiple sclerosis (video link) , traumatic brain injury and Parkinsons disease. Additionally she co-ordinates the physiotherapy service at the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre based at Catcliffe, Rotherham. Currently she is involved with research into educational programmes and Multiple Sclerosis.

He qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999 from Sheffield Hallam University. He worked within the NHS in Sheffield at the Hallamshire Hospital and Sheffield Childrens Hospital until 2003. For the last eleven years he has been employed at Claremont Hospital in Sheffield working closely with the consultant team in the rehabilitation of their patients. Ian is experienced and highly regarded in the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has a special interest in shoulder disorders and sports injuries. He has worked extensively with runners, cyclists ( including professional cyclists) and climbers.
