About The White House Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinics - Hathersage

This physiotherapy group runs six clinics serving South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. The clinics are recognized by all major health insurance providers. The physiotherapists treating patients at the clinics are chartered and state registered professionals. Referrals are accepted from GPs and other medical professionals at all the clinics. Biography:

Jason qualified from Sheffield in 1987 and worked in London for a number of years at The Royal London Hospital and for some time in the countrys first NHS Sports Medicine Clinic.

Jason has undertaken numerous post graduate courses including MACP (Nottingham University) and Membership of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (MSOM) and has always felt that running a successful private practice has to have a commitment to the local community and to contribute to by way of integrating NHS physiotherapy services to GPs and consultant-led clinics with the private clinics.

For over fifteen years The White House has provided excellent onsite physiotherapy clinics to GPs, Hospitals and local businesses. In search of ever improving the services run by The White House Jason undertook an MBA at Sheffield Hallam University and has continued to develop both the business and physiotherapy services.

Biography:

Steve has been working at the Whitehouse for six years. He qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002 following in his familys footsteps

He carries on the tradition of family physiotherapists into the fourth generation. Steve treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, and his particular interest is in spinal rehabilitation through manual therapy and exercise.

He has recently completed levels one and two(a) of the Maitland concept, which focuses on pain relief and restoration of normal movement through mobilisation and manipulation. Steve is also a qualified and registered musculoskeletal acupuncturist. Steve is also the clinical manager at the White House clinic. In this role he organises the physiotherapy training, performs general practice management, and is always looking for new ways to move the practice forward.

David nicholls is an HPC registered podiatrist specialising in the field of musculoskeletal biomechanics and the provision of Orthotics.

He has 10 years extensive experience which includes working with Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic surgeons, armed service contracts, treating a range of conditions from foot and heel pain to acute and chronic spinal conditions.

This service is an ideal complement to the treatment and care from the White house physiotherapy team.

Helen graduated from Kings College London in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.

Since qualifying as a a physiotherapist Helen has worked for several NHS trusts as a Junior and Senior physiotherapist in a variety of settings including Accident and Emergency, orthopaedics, paediatrics and outpatients. Helen also lived in Ireland for nearly two years from 2004 to 2006 mostly working in a private practice and with a rugby team.

Helen is also a qualified pilates instructor with additional training and experience in pre and post natal pilates. Helen has also completed her acupuncture training.

Anna Wilkinson qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001. She specialises in the rehabilitation of Neurological and Orthopaedic/ Musculoskeletal injuries.

She has since been working in both Private Practice and the National Health Service. She has worked in a variety of settings both in the hospital and Community.

Anna has extensive post graduate training and has recently gained a Master Degree in Neurological Physiotherapy. She has worked at Sheffield Hallam University researching the use of technology in rehabilitation of Neurological conditions. She maintains close links with the university.

Biography:

Christine qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa in 1995 and started her career in a general hospital, doing mainly respiratory and orthopaedic work. She then spent three years in private practice, before moving over to England.

Christine has been working at the Whitehouse since 2002, and she currently works part time. Christine’s special interests are orthopaedics, musculo-skeletal problems and rehabilitation.

Sally graduated with a BSc (hons) Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008. She has completed massage for physiotherapists and Pilates for physiotherapist’s courses. Recently she has completed courses on trigger Point Acupuncture and the 50 Most Useful Acupuncture Points,

She has attended the 2012 and 2013 Running Conference, focusing on gait analysis, common running injuries and causes, along with approaches to rehabilitation for running injuries.

Having worked in a variety of settings both privately and in the NHS, as well as for a Championship football club for two seasons, he has a developed a keen interest in treating people with musculoskeletal problems and sporting injuries. 

Mr Tom Doran - Bsc (Hons) Sports rehabilitation and Injur

Biography:
Whilst at University, Tom spent 4 months in Australia at the world renowned Melbourne Golf Injury Clinic (MGIC) under the supervision of Ramsay McMaster, a leading authority in golf specific fitness and rehabilitation.
During this time, Tom worked closely with coaches and players at the Victiorian and Australian institutes for golf. He also spent time working with the number one amateur player in the world to prepare him for professional golf.
