Would highly recommend

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

100% recommended

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

Chris is a brilliant and empathetic therapist. I’ve used numerous physios over the years. None of them have had Chris’s thorough and scientific approach to diagnosis or his caring and careful ability to explain where my pain is coming from and how best to deal with it.

In my most recent episode of chronic back pain, Chris has helped me learn how to manage and live with my pain (thankfully now very low level) and enabled me to regain full physical activity. Thanks a million, Chris!

100% recommended!

Gerard, thank you for your very kind and generous review. We have explored many treatment approaches and strategies together over an extended time period. Your diligence in working through these and your detailed feedback has really helped in determining the most appropriate management, so you must take much of the credit for the outcome!

He explained the reason for doing certain exercises, which helped me understand the process

4.5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

Chris is an amazing physiotherapist. I had a very bad car accident 48 years ago and have had a stuffed back ever since. I had never had anyone examine my back like Chris did. He explained the reason for doing certain exercises, which helped me understand the process. He also gave me exercises for my shoulders and neck and I’m now on the mend. I would definitely recommend him, value for money.

His treatment was tailored to my needs and working environment

4.5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I chose this clinic partly because I know Chris personally. However, he is warm, personable and professional. I had torn a calf muscle and had some lower back pain which necessitated realignment by Chris. His treatment was tailored to my needs and working environment. The exercises allocated along with treatment during the sessions enabled me to take up regular exercise again.

I think he offers exceptional value and would highly recommend him

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I’ve been helped by Chris Pitts a number of times over the years for shoulder, knee and back issues. The exercises have been extremely useful, knee pain has reduced by approx 95%, more than I could have imagined possible. After then I was able to walk Offa’s Dyke, 177 miles without any knee issues. Chris’s years of experience are obvious, he is very thorough in diagnosing and explaining issues before demonstrating exercises. I think he offers exceptional value and would highly recommend him.

The clinic is easy to find and immediately I felt reassured that I was in safe hands

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I had been suffering from a bad back for several months and the condition had worsened to an extent where I was in a lot of pain and struggling to stand or sit. The diagnosis was a damaged disc in my lower back, potentially cracked. The treatment and advice I received at Grand Union Physiotherapy were excellent. Chris asked lots of questions to ascertain the history of my condition and after a thorough examination recommended basic stretching exercises until the pain was relieved.

I had three subsequent appointments and each time the exercises were increased as the healing was progressing and my range of movement improving as a result.

I would thoroughly recommend this clinic.

I chose this clinic as two members of my family had also been treated there and were very positive about their experience. My first impressions were very positive. the clinic is easy to find and immediately I felt reassured that I was in safe hands.

The treatment was very professional and thorough and at all stages, I had a good understanding of why the treatment activities were recommended and following my final consultation. I was confident that I had the knowledge to try and prevent further occurrences of back problems.

Thanks for your very full review Barry, I really appreciate it. Remember, prevention is always better than cure, so keep doing your exercises. The reward will be that you will reduce the likelihood of having to come back and see me :)...

The visit was friendly and informative

3.5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I had a bad elbow and shoulder with lots of pain, pins and needles giving a numb feeling. The various exercises shown, adopted have eased all the symptoms which are being done daily. So far so good. Only had two sessions but they seem to have done the trick.

I chose this particular clinic as it was one of three recommended locally. The visit was friendly and informative. I tried very hard to take on board what was being explained and am happy at the results.

I cannot praise him highly enough both for his care and his expertise

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I had persistent problems with my knee - a cartilage op 15 years ago but the problem had returned and was constant. Chris Pitts took great care assessing my knee and found that the problem wasn't just the cartilage but a misalignment of the joint.

I was given exercises for both which has enabled me to be confident that I can manage and improve the conditions. I cannot praise Chris highly enough both for his care and his expertise. I have been to other physiotherapists but the treatment given by Chris was the most professional I have experienced and amazing value.

The clinic is in a modern well-appointed building - with easy parking. It is well equipped and a pleasant space to be. Chris was welcoming and very quickly put me at my ease. I would highly recommend this clinic.

After 4 appointments the pain has gone and my flexibility has improved substantially

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I have had a long-standing lower back problem which has been manifesting itself on and off for over 40 years. I have visited many osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists in this country and abroad. Usually I suffer pain and incapacity for at least 6 months every 2 to 3 years so when It started to play up recently I thought I would be in for a long and painful winter.

I was recommended to Chris by two members of my family who had previously been impressed by the treatment they had received so I hobbled into his surgery 3 weeks ago. I have never experienced such a careful and thorough assessment of my condition and has made a diagnosis he recommended some gentle exercises which immediately had a positive effect. Subsequent visits produced further exercises and some light manipulation and now after 4 appointments the pain has gone and my flexibility has improved substantially. I have never known such a quick transformation!

Chris is very knowledgeable and genuine and I always felt that he really wanted to sort me out quickly and not keep me coming back for further appointments. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Tim, thanks for your kind words. However, I refuse to take all the credit, you took on board the advice i offered and followed it consistently. It was definitely a "joint effort"...please excuse the pun!

I was very pleased with the treatment

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I twisted my knee skiing and it was still uncomfortable after several months. I was looking for reassurance that I hadn't done lasting damage and was given some exercises to strengthen the area and advice on not favoring one leg over the other. It's working!

I attended the clinic on the recommendation of a friend and was very pleased with the treatment. Would recommend to anyone with a muscular- skeletal problem.

Thanks for your review Lee. I am so glad that we were able to give you the reassurance that you were looking for and that you now feel confident to continue building your strength.

A pleasant and rewarding experience

Physiotherapist Consultation

My friend recommended Grand Union Physiotherapy and my visit turned out to be a pleasant and rewarding experience. Time was allowed for a detailed consultation and I was given an explanation for the advised exercises; it was reassuring to get follow-up calls to see how I was progressing.

He has solved my problem

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I had been suffering neck and head pain for many months. I went to see Chris on my first appointment, we talked about my symptoms he showed interest in what I was saying and gave me confidence in him. After 6 visits he sorted me out and he gave me some exercise to do and with my input, we have solved my problem.

My experience at the clinic was excellent.

Thanks for your review Roy and thank you for highlighting the point that physio is a "joint effort," no pun intended! It is always a joy to treat people like you, who fully recognize that and follow the advice which we give. People who just want a quick fix, usually only get a temporary one, but those who make the effort to change invariably achieve lasting benefit!

The expertise, help and support have been invaluable

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

Twenty months ago, following an unfortunate accident and subsequent surgery, I was in a wheelchair and on crutches and thus had to 'learn' to walk again. Today I am pretty much back to normal and have Chris to thank for this. His expertise, help and support have been invaluable and I will always be grateful to him for that.

A friend who is treated by Chris recommended him to me. Chris visited me at home for the first few appointments as I was unable to get to the clinic. Without his help, I may not be as well as I am today and I recommend him unreservedly.
