Marc Jonathan Daniel, the former President of the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association and Chief Physiotherapist and Head of Clinical Support Services, Prince Court Medical Centre has a wealth of experience garnered in Malaysia and in the United Kingdom. He currently practices in a private clinic established over 10 years. Marc has served as a consultant physiotherapist at prestigious local, regional and global sports events that include Belgium World Cup Hockey (2002), Commonwealth Games (1998), European Cup Rugby (1997), and Penguins International Rugby, England from 2003 till the present day. A much sought after physiotherapist both abroad and in Malaysia, Marc Daniel worked as Chief Physiotherapist for Newbridge Rugby Club, Welsh Premier League for two seasons and the Twin Towers Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur for four years. A fully qualified Bachelor of Science with honours in Physiotherapy from The University of Bradford, England, he gained valuable experience working in United Kingdom in The National Health Service (NHS) for two years. With an impressive track record as a practising physiotherapist, Marc also lectured part time at two of Malaysia’s higher learning institutes, University Technology of Mara on Sports Science and at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (Malaysia’s national university), he taught Diploma and Degree students in Physiotherapy, Health Studies & Sports Science. Biography:
Zailene Deliza Husaini began her career as a locum therapist in various organizations before joining the pioneer group of therapist in Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC). She was instrumental in the Allied Health Professionals Service Standards during the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) Accreditation process and documentation and has been an integral member of staff in the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. Zailene has had attachments in various public hospitals and clinics throughout West Malaysia, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Sabah and in Brussels, Belgium and Vienna, Austria. A graduate from the University of Technology MARA (UiTM) with a Diploma in Physiotherapy followed by full-time Bachelors in Physiotherapy, her exposure in the local government setting is highly commendable. With a keen interest in research, Zailene was involved in setting up of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), standards, documentations, gymnasium facilities, Job Descriptions of Allied Health Technicians, Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs, Radial Shock-Wave Therapy (RSWT) Services, workflows and processes of Hydrotherapy as well as group classes, Gymnasium facilities for staff usage, involvement of Burns Unit, and creation of Patient Information Leaflets/Factsheets. In the sporting arena, Zailene was also appointed as the physiotherapist in charge of the South Africa contingent in rugby during the Petronas KKP games 2009. Shu TzeShyuan is a registered physiotherapist with The Malaysian Physiotherapy Association having graduated from The Malaysian Allied Health Science Academy in the year 2010. Currently, she is a private practitioner in MD Physiotherapy with a special interest in Musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, orthopaedic physiotherapy and myofascial release therapy (MFR). Her keen interest in MFR began in 2007 having worked with a doctor in Seremban before embarking to further her studies in physiotherapy. Since then, she has been tied to the Borneo Eagles Rugby Team as the Chief Physiotherapist during the Cobra Rugby 10’s in 2011 and the Agung’s Cup in 2012 and 2013 for the Sabah Eagles. She was appointed as the tournament physiotherapist for the International Borneo 7’s rugby tournament, Cobra 10s, ARFU 15s, and YRIM youth rugby tournaments since 2012 till today. She is currently the ONLY physiotherapist in Malaysia having been awarded and appointed as a certified World Rugby Medical Educator. She continues to pursue this career having to teach throughout the nations under the Asian Rugby Football Union ( ARFU ). Besides that, she has been selected as a local preceptor for colleges such as Pusrawi, Sime Darby Medical College and UniversitiTunku Abdul Rahman. She has numerous certificates in Manual Therapy Mulligan Concepts, Physiotherapy Instrument Mobilization, Integrated Spine Manual Therapy, First Aid in Rugby, Sports Massage, Kinesiotaping, trained bio advance orthotic, and is continuously developing herself professionally as a physiotherapist in Malaysia and abroad.
