I attended Midlands Physical Therapy with severe hip pain. I could not sit down comfortably for any period of time. After 2 visits I could sit without pain and by week 4 I was pain-free. The clinic is very professional and the staff made me feel very comfortable.

Went to Derek after suffering for years with severe lower back pain. Found him a very professional and dedicated therapist who takes time to listen to all symptoms in order to put a successful treatment plan in place. After a few treatments and doing the exercises recommended daily I am now virtually pain-free. Derek also emailed on the exercises after every session which was very helpful. I definitely recommend this clinic and have to say Derek is the best therapist I have ever attended.

I had one appointment so far. Everything went very well. Deep tissue massage. Derek made me very welcome and made me feel relaxed during my treatment. Further appointment on Saturday.

Local clinic. Derek a young gentleman, chatted with me for about 10 minutes before my treatment to get a history of my health in general. He also asked me what I needed to get out of the treatment.

The therapist was friendly

The price was as quoted - €45 for first visit. The therapist was friendly and his assessment interesting. Treatment seems helpful, although it is difficult to give a thorough evaluation from a single session. I have a further appointment on Monday 19th January.

Biography:

BSc Applied Science and Physical Therapy from the Institute of Physical Therapy

Derek Stenson BSc Applied Science and Physical Therapy Midlands Physical Therapy clinic is run by Derek Stenson M.I.A.P.T. Derek graduated from the Institute of Physical Therapy and Applied Science (IPTAS) in 2014 and is a fully registered member of the Irish Association of Physical Therapists. He also holds an ITEC diploma in Sports Injuries and Massage. Derek is a keen sportsman and has been working as a professional tennis coach for 11 years. Having played junior tennis at a high level he began his coaching career in Cork City but moved back to the midlands to Moate in 2007. Since his return he has coached and been involved with Mullingar, Tullamore and Athlone tennis clubs and most recently helping to set up Moate Tennis Club. He completed an ITEC diploma in Sports Injuries and Massage in 2008 and worked part-time for a year as a sports therapist. To further his knowledge in the care of musculo-skeletal health and injury rehabilitation he undertook a degree course with The Institute of Physical Therapy and in 2014 qualified with a degree in physical therapy .He has since started Midlands Physical Therapy.
