(1980) PRACTICE PRINCIPAL TherapyXperts Maynooth A TCD Chartered Physiotherapy graduate, Mairead commenced work at The National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire back in the early 1980’s, moving on to St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin a year later to concentrate on Outpatient physiotherapy. In the late 1980 opportunities arose which took her away from clinical physiotherapy for several years, but the pull of patients, coupled with a love of learning and teaching saw her become TCD’s Senior Clinical Teacher in Outpatients at the School of Physiotherapy for most of the 1990’s. She commenced a small private practice in Maynooth in 1992, then known as Mairead O’Riordan & Associates, later renamed as TherapyXperts Maynooth in 2007.

MMT, B.Sc. (Physio), M.I.S.C.P. (1998) SENIOR ASSOCIATE. She gained her first post-graduate experience at Tallaght Hospital, later moving to a private practice in south Dublin. In 2005 she completed an intensive MSc in Manipulative Therapy at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, one of the world’s top physiotherapy Masters programme again gaining top place. She joined the clinic here on her return in early 2006.

B.Sc. (Physio), M.I.S.C.P. She has subsequently gained experience in such diverse areas as sports medicine, neurology, care of the elderly and musculoskeletal medicine including management of back pain. As part of her general physiotherapy brief, she is undertaking post-graduate qualification in Pilates and Acupuncture.
