Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia.  It  uses many of the same movements and techniques as lighter styles eg Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots. 

60 minutes Reiki is a hands on energy healing system used throughout the world to treat  all manner of problems. Leaving all clothing, on life force energy is channeled through to connect the mind,body & spirit. Locating the energy center's of the body (chakras) Reiki eliminates blockages  to allow the recipient to move forward with their lives in a positive way.People feel a shift in energy resulting in a knock-on effect to all aspects of their lives.

WHAT IS REIKI?Reiki is a gentle but powerful hands-on-healing therapy.It empowers your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels to bring harmony and balance into your life.HOW DOES REIKI WORK?We all have an energy field (aura) surrounding our physical body as well as energy points. As we go through life we place demands on these energy points. During a Reiki treatment this energy is re-energised and balanced. A Reiki practitioner is professionally trained to channel healing energy.WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REIKI SESSION?You will normally be asked to lie down on a very comfortable Reiki table to receive a Reiki treatment. If you have a problem lying down, then it is possible for a Reiki session to be given while you are sitting on a chair. You will remain fully clothed. Reiki energy is so strong that it will pass through clothing and can even pass through a plaster cast.During the session the Reiki Practitioner will gently lay their hands on or over different areas of the body. Generally, you will feel a slight pleasant tingling sensation in the area being treated. It is also not uncommon for an area to feel warm, hot or icy cold when being healed. You will begin to feel very relaxed as your mind switches off, your breathing slows down and deepens and your bodys muscles let go of tension. You may even fall into a deep relaxing sleep.AFTER A REIKI SESSIONImmediately after the session has ended you may feel very drowsy and so relaxed that you dont want to move, rather like waking up from a very deep and relaxing sleep. Even as you become more alert the deep sense of physical and mental calm remains, yet also leaves you full of energy. After a couple of treatments this sense of relaxation grows as balance returns to your body.
