These insights are used to rebalance their doshas - or energies (vata, pitta, kapha) - to restore optimal health.Recommended treatment plan: Once the individually recommended treatment plan is drawn up, we explain it to our guest. Podikizhi -is a very relaxing therapy performed with herbal powder made from a potent mixture of 12 rejuvenating herbs. Here different herbs are powdered and kept in a poultices (kizhi). It is made warm in a pan and a general massage is done to the patient lying in a specially designed table to do panchakarma procedures. The bolus is gently massaged on different parts of the body. Podikizhi is an exhilarating treatment to relieve osteoarthritis, muscle spasms etc.

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that involves the burning of a small bundle of tightly bound herbs, or moxa, to targeted acupoints of the body. A technique used in traditional Chinese medicine and in Tibetan medicine, it is sometimes used along with acupuncture. Moxibustion evolved thousands of years ago in early northern China. It is part of traditional Chinese medical practices and came about near the same time as acupuncture. In such a cold, mountainous region, heating the body on energetically active points was thought to help prevent illness and promote healing.
