Dr Richard Rogers started performing hair transplants in 1996, opening his own hair transplant clinic in that year and has gained a considerable UK and worldwide reputation for hair transplant surgery since then. Having performed personally, more than 4000 hair transplant procedures, he has great experience and expertise in the hair transplantation speciality and is a true hair transplant surgery specialist.
Dedicated to high standards, he has openly passed on his knowledge, training six other doctors at his hair transplant clinics. In addition, his practice trains hair technicians to the highest standards and these highly taught staff are much valued at other clinics. His hair transplant technicians have recently helped form a British & Irish Hair Transplant Society, ensuring highly trained staff.
Dr Rogers is a member of a number of societies
The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery
The European Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons
Past Vice President of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons
Founding Member of the Trichological Society
Past Member of the Institute of Trichologists
Founding Member of the British & Irish Hair Transplant Society
Dr Rogers has often appeared on television, acting as a hair transplant expert specialist:
Television: BBC1, BBC2, Channel 4, Bravo, Channel 5
Radio: Radio 1, Radio 5Live, Worcester BBC radio
Newspaper: Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Mail, The Mirror
Dr Rogers is also a hair transplant patient himself and fully understands how it can affect confidence, having had hair loss since the comparatively young age of 18 years. He understands the trepidation that patients can feel, when undergoing their first hair transplant procedure. Dr Rogers had his own hair transplant performed by Dr Kemp, who also works at the Westminster Hair Clinic and was trained by Dr Rogers personally and he can thoroughly recommend it. Dr Rogers is of course, full GMC registered and his practice is registered with the Healthcare Commission (now Care Quality Commission).
